Dual 18650 DNA 200 (133)

I had a DNA 200 built in a Hammond box dual 18650 in series. The question I have is when I go to use it it will only ramp up to 50w at max, even when adjusted higher. Anyone ran into this? Any help is appreciated! Using lg hg2 batteries.

Here's an example of where I would start looking.
In EScribe/Device Monitor tick the two cells and not what the voltage sag is. My batteries in this example were 3.68 unloaded and when fired drop to near the soft cell cutoff. Had they dropped below the set soft cell cut off the power would have dropped.

Also, you might want to check the 'Kanthal Power Limit' on the 'Mod' tab in Escribe...

Here is what mine did with a 5 second click of power button. And kanthal limit is set to 133.

These are my settings. Should the capacity be changed? I've tried everything I know but can't get it to work.

The only setting on that page that can have anything to do with your problem is set correctly to 133 watts.
We need to see it firing in Device Monitor with the two cell ticked. Use the stop button in the right lower corner once you get it then move your mouse over the sagged voltage points to show the voltages (if not showing)

This is while fire button held. Cell 1 reading 3.10 cell 2 reading 3.17.

The odd part is it shows firing at 31.70w but I have it set to 50w. Ohms are .144

Looks like one battery is hitting your 'cell soft cutoff' setting. Are you seeing a 'check battery' message on your screen? I too run 2 LG HG2's & have my cell soft cutoff set at 2.8

No check battery but the battery bar did flash once. And my cut off is set to 3.09.

What is the voltage of the cells when not firing?

Oh yeah...they changed the message to a flashing battery symbol...lower your cell soft cutoff to 2.8 or 2.9 & give it a try...

I'm almost to the point of thinking my batteries are the issue. Thinking of picking up a brand new set today. Just to see if that's what it is. BC good lg's should support way more then 50w.

I'm expecting this to be another situation where the battery contacts are not making good connection to the cells.

3.94 on both. Showing half charge on mod.

I tried that and it said check battery as soon as I hit the button. Lowest I could take it was 3.00v

Idk. Wouldn't think so being the mod was just finished being built yesterday.....Or at least I hope it isn't.

OK, for sure power isn't getting from the cells to the board. Could be poor cells (probably not), bad solder joint on B+ or B- or at battery sled(lo or at battery sled. But most likely battery contacts to cell, make sure they have as square contact as possible and tight against cell.

Any chance of getting a picture of the internals of the Hammond box?  So since new yesterday it hasn't ever worked right?

Alright I appreciate all the help from everyone. Gonna try new cells and if that dosnt work back to builder.

I can later on. It's a good freind that built it. Just gonna get back with him and see what's going on. Because I've never had any problems with his mods.
