awsum140 Posted November 11, 2015 Report Share Posted November 11, 2015 I was going to comment that reasonable loads would produce more realistic results. The chip will run up to 200 watts, but most people don't use that much power in "real", day to day, vaping so a lower, more "real" load might give better, real life, results. One test I did with 100% battery with no trickle charging the other I did as soon as it hit 100% but noticed as i unplugged it it was still charging. I think it is as simple as "energy in = energy out" because Battery Analyzer does all it can to extract every watt-hour above 3.09v regardless of load.I ran 4 tests on a well seasoned Evolv Beta Mod, two with a 0.51 ohm load, and two with a 0.26 ohm load. I ran one test at 40watts, and the other at 174watts.The results were all within 0.07 watt-hours of each other, ie 9.788wh to 9.853wh. justchil Posted January 5, 2016 Report Share Posted January 5, 2016 I see that now. Looks like when the sag hits the cutoff it's stopping the fire which is expected.I am testing several batteries... I think all are already on the list but I have multiple of each and I'm doing breaking them in first the proper way etc.Looks like some folks doing tests on 18650's are using 2.5v cutoff. I wonder if that would skew results vs/on lipos? It might be a useful field to add to the list if nothing else.PS: That's an insane block of aluminum Have you checked temps on the resistors?
