Thanks I went to my vape shop and downloaded all battery profiles from them.

Can you provide a link please ? I am also looking for a discharge profile.

    Specificly for:

    4x Samsung INR18650-25R (for Reuleaux RX300)

    I can offer:

    1x_Sony_VTC5_Battery_Curve.csv

    2x_Sony_VTC5A_Battery_Curve.csv

    2x_Sony_VTC6_Battery_Curve.csv

    3x_Sony_VTC5_Battery_Curve.csv

  2. I miss that memory feature too.

With the ArcicFox firmware it works fine, won't miss it.

Change the atty, and whooop, it switches to the correct settings 😉

Would be something great if the guys from evolv can add that function to the firmware, if you ask me.

  3. I keep the presets of BOOST and WARMTH like they are... 5 or 6 when using big fancy coils. With wattage I go normally 50% higher (e.g. when I vape on 40 W, I do 60 W preheat for 1 second).

With standard round wire I switch both off. No need for preheat with round wires as they ramp up quite fast (I use normally round 24-28 ga SS wire).

Depends on your builds I guess,... I normally build around 0,25-0,5 ohms and vape around 30-50 watts.

  4. Question still remains... WHY ?

I have the same problem with a Vandy Vape SS316L Fused Clapton wire (24ga*2+32ga)

It's a pure SS316L wire and not too fancy I guess, but replay doesn't work.

The coil is fine, its mounted in a Taifun GT IV as a single coil, and the ohms are stable at .33 ohms @ 40 watts.

The mod is a Triade DNA250C. Should work, doesn't it ?

I also contacted Vandy Vape as it is the only wire where I have this problem. Other (round) wires work fine.

So, is it the wire or the mod ?

I changed the "security" setting but no change. In the REPLAY section of the mod menu it says AVAILABLE, but not READY or ACTIVE.

In the COIL INFO the TEMP CONTROL is also active.

Don't know what to do next... still waiting for Vandy Vape customer service to get things sorted out.

  5. My choice would be based on how long do the batteries last.

If you get through the day with 2x18650 then there is no need for 3 batteries to carry around.

But if I am right by reading your posts, as a cloudchaser with low ohms coils you might be better off with triple batteries.

Depending how much you vape of course. Like I said, what gets you through the day is the right choice for you.

I own single, dual, triple and a quadruple mod, and I use them accordingly... the quad for the evening at home (and for building on it), the single for the short trip (to the supermarket and back), and the triple for longer days away from home (work).

So it depends on your needs which one you should get. For myself I can not complain about the Triade DNA250C. Fine piece of work and enough power to get me through the day.

Is vapor commonly sacrificed for the perfect temp and strictly flavor oriented vape?

    1. Vapor is a question of the PG/VG percentage in your liquid, not a question of the coil material. (LINK to an article which explains it)

In general the VG is responsable for the clouds. But the article gives you more info on PG/VG and their functions/effects, like gunk, taste, throat hit, etc.

    2. TC does not work with kathal. So you don't need to search for curves etc. as it will not work. Kanthal ONLY works in wattage(=power) mode.

Also, if anybody feels the need to school me on TC, can you explain how TC is supposed to be the ultimate experience?

On "schooling" you on TC, there are of course the ones who like it, and the ones who don't.

But in general you can say that TC has some benefits, like no dry hits EVER (as the temp will be stable, so if you stay below the temp that burns the cotton/wick (about 250°C I think), you will be safe from the bad burn taste)

It also has the benefit that because of the stable temp, you can adjust it to the specific flavour of your liquid.

Depending on the liquid, a different temp means a different taste.

HERE is a link to a TC related article, with some mentioning about the different temps for different liquids and also for PG/VG and nic,

which will give you an idea how "sophisticated" you can control flavour with TC.

I hope I could help you with your question...

If you need more infos, please ask or search on google/youtube, as there is a lot of information out there 😉

  7. I have a replay problem too, when using the Vandy Vape SS316L Fused Clapton wire 24GA *2(=) + 32GA.

    No replay option available.

I contacted Vandy Vape support and we are working on that problem.

Will keep you guys updated as soon as I get an answer what the problem is.

(actually they asked me to build a 10 cm straight "coil" to check... see photo)
