  1. Hi all, So i got a Vaporshark DNA 200 a few days ago from a friend. Up until yesterday the fast charging was working but today it suddenly stopped. Connected to my laptop it charges at 0.5A (as expected) but on my 2A wall charger it only charges at 0.6A maximum. What can i do to get the fast charging back because without it the mod is useless pretty much
  2. Hi all, I know the Vaporshark has the capability to charge @ 2A and maximum input voltage is 16V. Does this mean the DNA 200 board can cope with the varying input from a car alternator? Max volts should be 14.5V ish. My charger is fused @5A Thanks
  3. Got any photos? Im not familiar with the dx
  4. Thanks guys. Just wondered because i dont send stuff internationally and never really ordered much that came directly from overseas
  5. Ok great i triple checked the address so i know its gone to the right place. Sent from the UK so well aware it could take a while to get there
  6. Hi all. To those of you who have sent devices off for RMA how long was it before you got an email response, or device returned?
  7. My vtbox 200 is doing something similar. When i charge it, it eventually displays 100% at 11.9V pack voltage, if i do a soft reset it drops down to 70% then charges normally. After this it charges to 4.2V per cell. Seems to only happen if i drain the battery below 11.1V
  8. Dont these use fullymax cells? Id be taking the device back to the seller
  9. One thing i think would be good would be for the mod to auto off when the battery reaches 100% after charging. Currently while plugged in my screen stays active the entire time, where i would like it to reach 12.6V then turn itself off.
  10. How did you do that without damaging the cells or the wires?
  11. Would it be possible to have the option of switching temperature readings to celcius? I know conversions and calculators are out there, some of us are just used to using Celsius. Also, Would it be possible to change the display screen items based on a selected profile? For example, my usual settings are based around the battery in normal useage, with the percentage, pack voltage and puff counter being used, but if i want to use a temp control build it would be great to be able to switch to a different profile and have the temp control setting on display.
  12. Just in case the OP is subscribed to this thread, did you ever get to the bottom of this? I had an issue where the battery sagged so much at 50w that it wouldnt fire from a full charge. Changed the battery and it works well now
  13. At 7.8v i wouldnt even risk trying to charge it. At 2.6v per cell there is pretty much no doubt that the cells will have some damage. Your vendor needs to replace the mod.
  14. i can get just under a day vaping at 75w but im a heavy user, so could say 250 puffs to a charge. Before i was lucky to get 130.
  15. Hey all. It's an odd one. my mod is set to display pack voltage, and under load the voltage drop is not always constant. I don't mean as the battery discharges because that is to be expected, I mean i can take it off charge and its different to the previous charge (both tests at fully charged) For instance, when i take it off charge the battery sag can be 0.2V on the mods pack voltage reading, but the next time it can be as high as 0.6V. Each time if i plug it in to Escribe and do a hard and soft reset and the sag returns to 0.2V without fail. What could be causing it to happen? I realise that 0.2V is a tiny amount, and 0.6V isn't a great deal either, the reason I am a little concerned is the fact that the sag can be 3x as much after just charging it up. This is all running the same RDA, build, and at the same power setting
  16. I got the 25 - 50c, the higher C one wont fit by 1mm but the new battery is a massive improvement
  17. Ive been using the turnigy nano tech 1300mah for a while now and it is a huge improvement. Battery life has easily doubled at my useage (heavy) and it doesnt get as warm during use or charging so thats a bonus. Also, the battery sag is much lower for the same build.
  18. Probably should have followed this up sooner. Turns out it was a bad battery. It fully charged to 4.2 per cell, but it was sagging massively under load. At full charge it wouldnt even fire at 50w on a 0.2 kanthal build. When i plugged it in its because cell 2 was sagging to 3.1v, from full. Swapped the battery and now my battery life has pretty much doubled and im using a lower capacity battery.
  19. Can i ask why youre doing a recovery? There was a spate with these a while ago, the balance plug wasnt in properly meaning the chip couldnt read the battery properly
  20. Just swap the connector on the board to pne you want to use
  21. ive seen people just use bigger loops of thick wire. Not a coil, just a couple of loops. doesnt have to sit within the dripper. ^^ that setup is a beast^^
  22. Hi all. I made a couple of changes to my discharge curve profile for the battery bar earlier, unplugged the mod and the battery was sagging further than usual under load. Using the same dripper and same build, it went from sagging by 0.1 to 0.2v to 0.8v at the same wattage settings. When i plugged it back in and did a hard and soft reset it went back down to normal levels. Nothing else had changed. Im just curious as to what could actually cause it really.
  23. Update installed and Avast didnt throw up any warnings Thanks for the update
