  1. I've done this mod myself because I wanted quick charging on the 2/3. Imo it's not really worth it - you lose the hot swappable 2/3 config because you'll need to set the cell count in eScribe to 2 cell else the DNA won't start up properly. I don't know if the DNA automatically switches to 3-cell charging when required even when set to 2-cell in eScribe, but it's wired up correctly. I don't use the additional 3rd cell as I like the Wismec 2-cell form factor. the screen is also a lot smaller, but doesn't look too bad if you get it to sit straight (I used part of the acrylic mount after being cut down to help orient the screen). Wiring isn't complex, just look at the 2-cell and 3-cell wiring diagrams available for the DNA and work it out from there. If you can't do that yourself then in all honesty you shouldn't be attempting the mod... But here goes: Pin 3 - connected to main +ive wire (on the Wismec +ive is the short red wire connected to the 3rd cell connector) Pin 2 - long red wire coming from the other side of the battery pack, connected to the other 3rd cell connector and the +ive on the left cell Pin 1 - black short wire coming from the bottom pair of battery connectors Gnd connected to the golden tab which is held in place by a screw.
  2. I'm not a big fan of the Fat Daddy 510s either - I had the low profile wide version on a diy mod and the center pin slipped in the white plastic shroud causing atomiser check issues. Also the adjustable pin often ended up being screwed in along with the atty, also causing resistance fluctuations/shorts. I recently modded a RX200 with a DNA200 board and a Varitube 510 - haven't had any resistance/atomiser check issues with this 510.
  3. Just wanted to pop in to confirm, SS TC is so much better now. Shame 2A charging for the DNA 200 couldn't be a firmware update as well, but the new SS performance is more than I could ask for.
  4. Thanks - I'm aware of the ability to change the three fields on the left, what I mean is that the section on the right, which currently shows either Wattage or Temperature could be used to show another set of three fields, extending he amount of information available on the screen - showing the Wattage/Temp setting while charging is largely useless for most users (I'd assume). For example, currently we have this: I'd like if it were something like this: ...with the option to show Wattage or Temperature instead, if the user wanted. e: I'll also try your suggestion re. setting the Ohm Lock range lower, that could well answer my first question.
  5. I know having an option to force Ohm detection has already been discussed several times, but I'd just like to throw my hat into the ring. Having the option available to force detection when setting up/experimenting with coils would be extremely useful. Profiles have their place, but to my mind are only really useful once your atomiser is set up and ready to use on a daily basis. For those evenings of making coils, changing them every few minutes etc, having the option to detect/reset the Ohm reading would be perfect. Secondly, I'd personally like some more control over what info is displayed on the screen, particularly while charging. Wattage/Temp setting info is relatively useless while the device is charging - I would like to be able to configure this field to show information, possible even three fields like we have on the left hand side. Being able to display 3 x battery cell readings as well as USB voltage/current/wattage (or any other information for that matter) would be great. Personally I'd like USB current shown, so that I can confirm if the device is charging at the rate I expect. Anyhow - not by any means groundbreaking or urgent requests, just little improvements that I consider would be handy.
