1. I have also had similar issues with mine. Very erratic with resistance, room temp going from 60-100. Many tanks the same which fine on other DNA mods. Turn on replay when I get it stable and it is like I increased temp by 100 degrees. I am in the process of sending it in for repair.
2. On my DNA 250's, I also see it revert back to default settings on the following in Theme Designer no matter what I do: New Coil Yes/No: (I do use custom X/Y settings) Temperature Protected: Same thing on the 2 Watts settings on the Look and Feel tab. There could be more, and I didn't test on my 200 or 75's, but this is what I found so far.
3. I was running it at .004 which is what I am using on my other DNA devices for the most part, but after reading it today I set it to .009 and it is still working fine. I also tried .011 and a little higher and it wasn't stable. .009 seems about right. As most everyone who has played around with these settings know that a zero or lower number than what it actually is will still work, but your temp reading will probably be lower than it would be to get a similar vape with a better tuned unit. You will start getting erratic results or TC failure when you are either exactly at or above the real mod resistance. So it seems like the .009 is ok. But after making the change I am now vaping on the same tank and build about 50 degrees higher to get the same result. Then you have the atty resistance to consider which varies from atty to atty and will give you some additional leeway to increase the number a bit more, but my thoughts are that the mod resistance plus the atty resistance must be at least a tad lower than what it must be in reality or else TC will fail. Sounds right? Your thoughts?
4. I just checked my ThinkVape Finder DNA250 and my lowest readings with a solid copper threaded plug is around .009 ohms.
5. I received my ThinkVape Finder 250w about 2 weeks ago and am using a new Aromamizer Supreme loaded with 2-SS316L Staggered Fused Clapton Coils from UD with it (.07 ohms). It works fine with TC and is providing a very nice smooth vape as I would hope to expect with this combination. I haven't yet tuned mod resistance, using .004 ohms, or performed the Case Analyzer which I hope to do this weekend. I have a similar experience with my LostVape Triade 250w with 2-SS316L Staggered Fused Clapton Coils from UD in an OBS Engine atty (.09 ohms). I do dry fire them before wicking and use them spaced as I always do when doing TC no matter which wire type I use. I am fairly new to SS 316L for my wire type as I have been using mostly my own would Ti or NiFe-52 coils which have worked well for well over a year. I must say that I am very much enjoying the SS316L and will say there is no problem with the DNA250 (I have 2 of them), using TC which is the only way I vape for well over 2 years now. You should ensure that you have your build secure and no loose connections, a good atty and you will be good to go.
6. I just ran the battery analyzer a few days ago on a new set of batteries using them only one cycle and attached the results. I am impressed with these Sony VTC6 batteries giving 29.19 Wh. 3-Sony_VT6_18650.csv
7. I use the AWT 26650 exclusively with my HCigar VT75 and ran the battery analyzer with the results attached.AWT_IMR_26650.csv
8. I just had the exact same problem and thought my board was defective. I took it apart without unsoldering the wires and found some ejuice on the board and under the battery sled which I wiped up with lots of alcohol swabs. Not a lot of ejuice, but I think just enough to cause contact issues and maybe even some minor shorting. After the cleanup and put everything back together it is back to normal. It had me worried for a couple of days while I tried everything including alternate batteries and cleaned the contacts and batteries many times. All along the EScribe software worked fine connected to the USB but without the USB I only saw a display briefly when pressing the fire button. The battery bar was always zero. I am now a happy camper!
9. Steve, have you seen James's latest post where they just released a newer version 1.0.39 where I believe the exact request you desire has been added?
10. I have been using it for a couple of hours now and liking it. Having the option to use the +/- buttons to change temperature is a big plus for me. I also like that I can adjust the temperature in 1 degree settings too. Another nice feature is the ability to change the wire types with the 3 button hold in locking mode.
11. good point i just looked and noticed as well they took it away or i just can't find it. the box that lets you input your own TCR value is no more? that's a bad move. it was so nice to be able to just throw a tcr value in and call it good. i was hoping for a tcr adj from the mod itself, TBH. like joyetech, yihi, or sxk.
You can change the TCR under the Materiel tap. Mark one of the material and you get the values up and can then change TCR there.
my man flem! edit..... i spoke too soon. ok so i go into materials tab, then select a material from "available materials", where is the option to change the tcr? all i have at the bottom is the 'move' 'split' 'delete'. where's the 'action' tab? to make this clear, i'm using the new escribe james just put out a couple hours ago. i realize the old escribe had this. but i can't find it on the new escribe.
For a while I couldn't find it either but then I just widened the screen. It is at the same horizontal level as the Move/Resize, Split, and Delete but way over to the far right side of the screen.
12. yes, 2016-02-10 mine doesn't say hold to change power. however, after the message 'hold to change temp' it does let me adjust the watts where i would normally adj my temp.
Yeah I got the same "Hold to change temp"
Yep, same for mine.
