marchetticlaudio Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Hi everyone, I’ve been using my PIPELINE BOX DNA60 by Arcana Mods for 1.5 years, but I’m currently facing two persistent issues that appeared one month ago: Random Auto-locking: The mod randomly locks itself, sometimes right in the middle of a puff. I can unlock it easily (3 clicks), but it’s becoming a daily nuisance. Power Drops: Occasionally, I feel the wattage ramp up, then it suddenly powers down while still providing a tiny bit of current. What I’ve checked so far: Batteries: Tried various cells (Sony, Molicel, Efest, Panasonic), mostly 10A/3500mAh as I vape MTL at low wattage. Maintenance: Mod is clean, no leaks, never dropped. Tanks have been fully disassembled and cleaned. Escribe: I managed to catch the issue once on the Device Monitor: the wattage curve dropped straight down and the mod locked instantly. My Escribe Mystery: I suspect the fire button might be sending "phantom" signals. To test this without disassembling the box, I wanted to modify the Auto-lock settings (either to disable it or increase it to 10 clicks). However, even with the Escribe interface set to "Research" mode, my Safety tab only displays "Kanthal Power Limit" and "Ohm Lock". There are no settings for Auto-lock or click counts. I also cannot find these parameters directly on the mod's menu. Questions: Is this a firmware limitation specific to the Pipeline/Arcana version of the DNA60? Is there any other way to access or "force" these settings to appear in Escribe? Does the fact that it locks mid-puff confirm a mechanical failure of the fire button (ghost clicking)? Thanks for your help!
Wayneo Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago If this is truly just a black and white DNA60, it's the first one I'm hearing about. If it's a color 60 let me know. For the power drops, are they intermittent? What does the voltage drop look like when taking a puff on a full battery? Does it happen with all batteries? Do a Device Monitor screenshot like shown, with only those same checkboxes enabled. Hover your mouse over the lowest point of the black voltage line, click mouse to draw the black vertical line, and post here. Answers. There are no vendor specific limitations on any board. There are no settings for Auto-lock or click counts on a black and white DNA60 Does the fact that it locks mid-puff confirm a mechanical failure of the fire button (ghost clicking)? <- No idea
marchetticlaudio Posted 6 hours ago Author Report Posted 6 hours ago Hi Wayneo, thank you for the fast answer! Its a black and white DNA60 not the DNA60C. The power drops are rare, happened 4 or 5 times while the auto lock happened maybe 100 times. It happened with two different batteries. The Molicell and the Panasonic. The screenshot here shows two puffs with a Molicel full battery.
Wayneo Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago You should really open a Help Desk ticket. Even point them back to this post. They will guide you. Link in my signature line. That 1 second boost really drops your voltage down. When that black line hits 2.75V (default) you'll get a warning.
