'Temp Protect' when NOT in or using TC

hello

i have a problem with this. i only use it 2 nights a week while i am having a few beers. i put the batteries in and it goes to temp control, all i ever use it for is watt boost. i have been taking the batteries out however many times to get it to sort out, but last night it would not. i also tried switching themes, didn't work. i never use temp control so idk just what may be happening here. please advise. thanx

it goes straight to temp mode, and idk how to adjust it to work in that. and even though the screen says watt boost, when i hit the fire button it says temp protect and doesn't fire.

Aaaaah, that is not 'temp mode', just a poorly worded informational message that can have many reasons. The most common reason are an ohms mismatch or runaway ohms. You should remeasure your coil Ω's and try to see if that was it, failing that you should check your coil.

yeah, but the DR works fine on other DNA mods, Paranormal. and when i can get this one to work, it works fine.

Start escribe with your mod plugged in, navigate to your ‘watt boost’ profile and do a screenshot. Post it here

Yup, that was perfect. That all looks pretty normal. Did you remeasure the Ω's of your coil?, the photo showed 0.11Ω's, now 0.19Ω. 

Do you have another atty you can try on this mod? Remeasure ohms with it before use.

i just tried a diff rta on it, it is fine. but, sometimes it didn't do it. now i just put the DR on it, still ok. the coil remeasures a lot.

See how in your screenshot near the bottom across from material it shows 'Watts' ? So you were never in TC. If it happens in the future, follow what I said.

i never purposely set to TC cause i have no use for it. i will investigate the next time it happens.

IT WAS NEVER IN TC.

temp protect. it did it last night. so i swapped to my QPmini that i use every day, it worked fine. then i flipped over the dead rabbit and sure enough, the 510's were filthy. i cleaned and all is working fine. so, i'm a dope, lol. the thing is this DR never leaks, or so i thought, it must be extremely small leak at the 510 pin.
