schmerzdj
hey, building my first dna mod and I'm 3d printing an enclosure and I'd like to make a dock for it that can do charge and data..... I was thinking a magnetic connector at the base of the mod(like the one in the image) would anyone be able to help me out ad far as a wiring diagram to tap into the usb already on the board so? also would it be possible put usbc as the plug on the back of the dock? if I can I'd really appreciate a wiring diagram for in the dock to go from the magnetic connection that links to the mod and the female socket on the back of the dock I'm sussing ita pretty simple, but im new to electronics and don't wanna see the magic smoke if possible... thanks :)
Wayneo
You'll wanna use page 13 and 14 of the datasheet. Probably leave the usb micro exposed for while you're not home. And they need to be done on the board no matter what. https://downloads.evolvapor.com/dna250color.pdf

Rereading what I've written, I'd suggest you open a Help Desk ticket. There's already a battery management chip in there. Link in my signature. Check the micro standard for pins. And ......... if it's sitting in a dock, you won't be using on-the-go.

schmerzdj
oh and fyi, incase it wasn't clear, i don't intend to get rid of the usb on the board that is used for charge n data, I just wanna splice into the pins so it would be like a double adapter where the addon part will goto pogo connector to dock
