rsandage
so im wondering if we are thinking the board is fried or if it was a defective? so i have an idea of what is coming.
dwcraig1
I doubt if it started out defective. In the past Evolv was very sympathetic towards the hobbyist. you could be the cause of screwing it up and they would still replace it. The board being overheated during soldering is defiantly a possibility. Shorting between the output and ground would have produced a situation where the question mark and ohms readings would fluctuate back and forth as you where making a connection. You might want to repeat that process again just to be sure. Then there's still the problem with your battery cell #4, I'll save the fix for that till after the above problem is addressed. rsandage
so resoldering that spot, attempt it or wait on evolv's response?
dwcraig1
I have a problem. I have here a brand new DNA250 board and am doing the test that I suggested and am getting nothing but a ?. Hold on. No don't resolder.
Wayneo
IMHO, but I'll defer to DW if he doesn't agree. You have a non functioning board right now. I'd pull the board, clean and reflux the 510 ends and the area on the board. And redo the soldering. Seems we posted at the same time. I'll let DW comment.
