Change in resistance value when heated

For some reason, when I press the button to heat it up, the resistance drops a little. Normally the resistance should go up when heated, right? After it goes down, it stabilizes, but why does the resistance go down a little only at the first heating? I'm using Kanthal wire.

And I use it in orthodox power mode.

Did you dry fire that coil and make sure it glowed properly beforehand ?

EDIT: And no. Kanthal should have a steady, non changing resistance.

Dry Fire is running properly. The other mods are stable, but only the billet box has a slight drop in resistance on the first firing.

Is this been with all coils that you have been using or is it just with this one?

This is the case for all coils. But it doesn't happen with anything other than the billet box.

Are you seeing this in EScribe or on the mods screen?

This is the mod screen.

I suggest checking it with EScribe's Device Monitor. The screen really doesn't keep up as quickly.

A 0.03 drop is nothing to worry about at all, especially with a Kanthal coil in power mode. Surprised you could even see that on the screen, but next time if you're concerned, you can Post a screenshot like above while firing, showing that behavior  🙌
