powering chip with the usb ?

i was watching DsJlb(sp?)  doing a review on the dna chips. he was powering a C chip with no wiring attached. i try to do this and it doesn't work. maybe i need a different cord ? i would like to test my new screen before putting batteries in it. and/or to trouble shoot a bad mod in the future.

You can power the Color boards with just USB power but the screen will not work without battery power.

Edit:

I was mistaken here, it is the DNA250 non color board that will not light the screen on USB power.

ok. i just watched the vid again, no sound. it sure does look like no wires, but, it really is hard to tell. no big deal, i was just wndering

Why is your language better than mine? I'm on the Russian, I'm thinking on Russian, and everyone can use Google. Forum rules do not prohibit writing answers in your native language

With Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (Chromium based) just right click on the post and select "Translate to English"

For Firefox you must add an extension first for translating.
