Peter onsea Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 A month ago I bought an ultranude mod (evademods) I had problems with the DNA board from the start. It refused to fire saying temp protect. And I noticed a problem with my ohms. Today I put in a premade coil (0,65 ohm) and that’s what it said on my coilmaster. When I put it on my mod it measures 1,5 ohm. Is that why I’m having the temp protect issues? Does this happen a lot? My previous dna-boards measured the ohms each time I fired and adjusted the wattage accordingly. At least I can adjust the ohms to the correct vallue. Is there anything I can do about this? Thanks

Peter onsea Posted February 5, 2019 Author Report Posted February 5, 2019 As usual, it asks if I want to use my new coil with the 1,5 ohm setting. But even when I go to ‘atomiser’ and do the reading it also measures the coil to be.....1,47 now...
Wayneo Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 Wow, if that's what the mod measured, you could check and clean all your connections, and check the grounding wires and screws. Failing that, hopefully you can contact the maker or place of purchase.
Wayneo Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 Does that ultranude have a spring loaded 510 or a manual adjustment? Check that and ensure a solid connection.
Peter onsea Posted February 5, 2019 Author Report Posted February 5, 2019 When I put the attie on any other mod, the ohms are correct(0.75) So the only thing I can check and clean(without opening the ultranude) is the 510. And that, I allready did....
Wayneo Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 Can you put another atty (with a longer 510) on your ultranude and read the resistance. It doesn't have to squonk, just be longer.
Peter onsea Posted February 5, 2019 Author Report Posted February 5, 2019 Ok, I couldn’t screw the jorda in. The 510 isn’t spring loaded but has a reverse threaded screw. This sits in another screw wich seamed to have come out. I screwed it down a bit and now I have a reading of 0.68 Thanks for handing me the solution...
Wayneo Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 You're very welcome. Enjoy that sexy mod 🖐️ The behavior and meaning of the 'temp protect' warning has now changed. (your original post) IMHO On these color boards, you should read the resistance of every new coil even if not prompted, same thing for every time you change from one profile to another.
