french
HELLO I acquired a xvostick 60 for over a year, I will replace the chip, my GND terminal is not connected only my terminal B- is connected to - the battery and the body of the housing and the connector - pin510, does this pose a problem? GND IS CONNECTED TO B-? THANK YOU, thank
Spector NS5 RD
That's how they're manufactured. They're utilizing the common GND of the body/batt- to obtain the 510 GND. Perfectly OK to do as long as the 510 GND to body GND is SOLID (low resistance). TLDR......yes that's fine.

Spector NS5 RD
Can you post a screen shot of Device Monitor while firing the DNA 60 Xvotstick at 15w? Make sure the battery box is checked. Let's take a look at the battery sag under load.

dwcraig1
At 15 watts you should be getting very little voltage drop . I'd be looking at the cell it's self, have you tried another battery. Check closely the battery holders contacts, wire connection to contacts, ect. Edited to include the word "drop"

dwcraig1
Check my last post., power isn't making it to board properly
french
Everything is well connected, the box worked well when I buy it and suddenly it does that, I change the chip and it remakes the same problem
dwcraig1
The problem appears to be with battery, battery holder, wires from battery holder to board. How is the ground connection done on the negative side of the battery? is it a chassis ground or wired. Clean the battery caps threads and the threads of the mod with alcohol (if it has this)
french
I ask myself if the cutt of the battery is too low, 2.75V set by evolv
dwcraig1
No, as that's about as low as you want it to be set to. With a 15 watt load on a full charged battery your voltage drop should be almost 4 volts.
french
am going to look at this or can connect the gnd on - pin, which is odd is that it worked originally without gnd connected
dwcraig1
Make sure to try cleaning battery cap threads and the threads that the cap screws into with alcohol and q-tip. I've seen same problem on other mods before where the threads of the cap were the problem even though they appeared clean.
french
I cleaned and recovered my battery cap, I found a piece of plastic hidden under a cap by cleaning with a cotton swab and walking, I thank you very much. on dna my favorite chip, I hope the problem is solved, thank you again
french
The problem is back, tomorrow I dismount the box and I look at the problem of gnd and body mass, I'll let you know, I think the problem you talked about contact must be hurt;
dwcraig1
Look very closely at where the B- wire of the board connects to the mod's body.
