Pravus
OK, I need some advice. My Therion 166 fell off a shelf yesterday while I was cleaning some stuff. It fell about 5 feet onto concrete but landed on the drip tip so no damage to the casing. The force of the fall jammed the innermost battery upwards bending and jamming the plastic part of the sled up so even though the spring loaded pin still works there's a gap when a battery is put in. I can't test it to see if the board still works since I cant get power to it. Think it's worth it for me to try and disassemble and repair the sled, or would you not trust it anymore? (I am tossing the batteries as they got dented ends now.)
VapingBad
I would, it should be a mechanical repair and you have nothing to loose, it may be just be jammed.
giz_60
If you search on YouTube for Therion 166 disassembly, there are a couple of videos showing how to get to the sled...not in English but you can watch the steps...helped me when replacing the board... Pravus
Thanks. I found the video previously but used it again. Mangled one of the carbon fiber side pieces but oh well, I got it apart. The plastic retaining clips for the spring loaded negative terminal on the top were broken. Had to put some hot glue in the top to fill in the gap and give the top of the terminal support. All put back together and working for the moment. Will give it a few days before I say its really fixed.
