TexNZ
I have no concept of what is happening with my Paranormal 75C. Initially (for 4 days), it worked, then, roughly half the time I'd insert my batteries, my Paranormal would auto fire (no screen messages or illumination what so ever - just an instant autofire the moment I push the battery door closed). Thankfully, the first time it happened I heard the juice heat and crackle in time to realize my Paranormal was auto firing and I was able to slide the battery door back open and tilt the batteries out before anything other than a burnt wick occurred. Cut to present and my 75C is auto-firing -every single time- I close the battery door. It begins firing even before the door is truly slid-in and locked close -- the moment the batteries barely begin touching their respective contacts I get the dreaded auto-fire. Could anyone give me a rough idea of what is occurring internally causing this and perhaps a way to restore proper function to my new device. Thanks so much for your time, help and any thoughts. VapingBad
I don't know, but sounds like a manufacturing fault with the mod, not something that you can change a setting to fix. I would contact your vendor and get a replacement.
TexNZ
Thank you for your response, VBad. May I ask, am I uploading the 75C settings correctly to my mod? I connect my Paranormal with usb, I launch escribe for mac which recognizess my 75C, I click "connect and download settings", after download completes, I then click "Upload Settings to Device", then lastly I click "Disconnect". That's how I upload settings. Anything incorrect there? Edited September 22, 2017 by TexNZ
TexNZ
Fasttech offered $50 refund and I keep the defective mod. A $50 refund on a $140 mod, isn't a lot of fun nor makes any sense for me as the buyer, sigh. They say in their refund policy 'fasttech provides full refunds on DOA items and/or exchanges including return shipping'. Hopefully, it's a language miscommunication and they'll work it out with me. TexNZ
Thank you, Craig. They up'd the refund to $60 and I keep the mod to ship to Evolv tracked ($48 from where I live in AUS). I can appreciate Fasttech doesn't have the money to throw at a full refund plus $50 for tracked shipping back to China. And the language barrier has been quite difficult but Fasttech stayed with me through the process and saw it through best they could which I respect. WIll use the refund amount to ship it to U.S., hopefully, Evolv can get it back in working order. Just wanted to say thanks for the link.
