Dk81 Posted June 16, 2017 Report Share Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) Hey guys I'm having a issue, I did a service pack the other day for my Therion 166 and now when my batteries are 55% and under I get a flashing battery bar. And my voltage drop is crazy sometimes it its normal and sometimes when at 4.17 on both batteries they will drop to 3.6v, and when at 3.7 they will sag to bare minimum. Very inconsistent. At 85W it is natural to have a high voltage drop, but personally I think there will be a problem in the batteries .... Are they definitely authentic ??? One more thing : Have you set Wh ??? Dk81 Posted June 17, 2017 Author Report Share Posted June 17, 2017 I know ohms are not related I figured I put it in in case anyone asked and I forgot to add this started happening right after I did a service pack update. shadockan Posted June 17, 2017 Report Share Posted June 17, 2017 With a series connection Wh is: 7.4 x 3000 = 22.200 / 1000 = 22.2Wh. In parallel, Wh is: 3.7 x 6000 = 22.200 / 1000 = 22.2Wh. So the energy has no difference. But if we do the test through the circuit, then we will see a different result, because the total energy of the batteries will be measured in practice. The latest LG HG2 batches, however, are inferior to the previous ones. It may be different when compared to Sony vtc6 - Samsung 30Q. Since the second half of 2016, the LG HG2 is inferior to the older ones. There is definitely a difference and better Sam - Sony, but LG is still one of the best, with little difference. Setting the cut-off voltage below 3.0 volts is not something that will make a big difference .... If you want to test Sony to see their duration and their behavior, with a similar demand for power .... You can see a better result. This will mean that LG will really be inferior and it is best to make a better battery purchase. Of course, you can simply have a lot of battery hours and you just need to buy new ones ..... I don't think batteries are the problem cause they were fine for months before I did the service pack they would drain to empty bar with 0 flashing, again I did the update and this problem started any ideas of that? Dk81 Posted June 18, 2017 Author Report Share Posted June 18, 2017 Sorry guys just another update my batteries got to 50% again and flashed I took them out and reinstalled them and the bar jumped down to 18% I put them on the charger and they were 3.68V. Full Printscreen of your MOD tab (yeah I'm checking you followed Post 3) Full Device Monitor Printscreen while this occurring, with only the 4 checkboxes ticked, as shown in this image. You can also change the behavior of those errors/warnings on your screen tab if it bothers you. AND STOP SENDING ME PRIVATE MESSAGES, like I asked. Public messages helps others with this issue, and gets other knowledgable eyes on suggestions offered. See how that lower value on the vertical was red in pic1, then blue when you changed positions? So that looks decent. If you could have had that vertical at the very lowest point would have been perfect. Yes a Full printscreen is better. Why? Shows current firmware (but not needed here) Shows puffs, (eyeballing it, and if a wire issue suggest you contact LV. Shows the ending battery voltages (needed) Now over to the left Shows pack total, individual cell values, estimated wh remaining and %, board temp, room temp <- all used to help where to focus. Just from what I see, pic 2 could actually be the first vape, but I can't see the puff count, blah blah blah. Rambling, but I hope you can appreciate how excellent DM and a full printscreen is for troubleshooting. What is the actual error that flashes? or is it that ....Your battery says a certain high % and your screen flashes? Please post a Full printscreen of your 'Mod' tab And just 1 more Full printscreen while firing. Try to get that vertical line at the lowest point of the red or blue line like you did before Is it really just the battery display or % ? Does the mod fire even more (keeps working) after flashing? Dk81 Posted June 20, 2017 Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2017 So today it was fine it actually went down to 9% battery when I took the batteries out they were 3.4V but from 40 it dropped to 20% fairly quick I didn't have it hooked up to the laptop to actually see what voltage it was, this was with the efest batteries I have the LGs in their now and will post what happens tomorrow. I changed the soft cut off to 2.9V. What happens is the battery bar flashes and I can't reach my desired wattage when at 50% or less and the voltage at that time is around 3.7-3.9 so the batteries are sagging to cut off and won't let me reach my wattage. After every hit the battery bar flashes 3-4X and stops I've seen that Evolve has put the flashing battery bar instead of low battery warning for the DNA75 but guessing now for the 200/250 chips as well. So that error means low battery I'm guessing. And when I flip the batteries it goes from 45% (voltage around 3.6) to 15-19% voltage not checked I will check that next time to see if it changes on screen or on battery charger.
