AGoyer001 Posted October 23, 2015 Author Report Posted October 23, 2015 I have an early vs dna 200 and an hcigar 200. The temp control is vastly different between them. UD bellus tank, dual Ss 316L coils .25 ohm. The vs I'm at 70 watts and 500 degrees F The hcigar 200 is at 60 watts/ 420 degrees The hcigar has a much better flavor and warmer vape yet running at a much lower temp.. Seems one of these units is not good ( I'm thinking it's the vs- vapor shark)?
VapingBad Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 Do they have the same fw version, and the VS usually have the full data in their profile - mod res, case thermals and battery curve so would expect that to be slightly more accurate if anything. I wouldn't judge using SS as the TCR curve can vary between wires, Ni200 would be the best way to compare them.
AGoyer001 Posted October 23, 2015 Author Report Posted October 23, 2015 Same FW same tcr file from steam engine, had similar issue when using TI as well
Legros Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 Check and add the mod resistance to the hcigar200 in escribe Even 0.01ohm make big difference in temps with SS wire
Coldxrain Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 Legros said:Check and add the mod resistance to the hcigar200 in escribe Even 0.01ohm make big difference in temps with SS wire What is the mod resistance? I've been searching to no avail.
Xx3dge Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 set the vt200 mod resistance to .0045 mine was .005 but i did the 80% rule.
AGoyer001 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Report Posted October 30, 2015 Vapor shark says their dna 200 won't support SS in tc mode based on their configuration of the mod
