Yes it will work if wired correctly But reverse batt protection look more complexe need like 8 mosfet to work for removable batt 3x18650 is pretty big and heavy lipos pack are way smaller + round cell = lot off wasted space

If i plug only the balance lead got strange reading like cell 1=2.90v. Cell 2=4.43v cell 3=4.12v pack voltage=11.4v When main bat lead connected all return to normal all cell=4.16v pack =12.48v Vérified with multimeter
