Thatguy
I'm running a mod with stacked 18650's and I have to set it up as a power supply. Thus I get no voltage display (under load) . Has there been any updates that will allow me to have voltage under load displayed on the screen. (Because there is no jumper from the jst plug. ) Thanks. VapingBad
It should need 3 cells for power supply (12 V) and it is far safer to set it up as 2 or 3 cell. IIRC you need to run balance wiring -ve to balance 0, between the cells to b1, +ve to b2 & b3, but check first I am just writing the wiring instructions off the top of my head and may have it the wrong way round. VapingBad
Here is the thread with the details https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66226-topic/
Thatguy
It works fine on two cells, that balance wire is the reason it won't charge, from the port, that's what I was wondering, if I could get it to charge without having that wire. Because they are stacked, I can't get that wire connected, they are in a tube essentially, but I'd like to be able to charge it thru the port. VapingBad
Yea the battery management and charging needs the balance wires, they only pull 40 mA or less so you can use very thin wire if that helps. IIWY I would do or you don't have any over-discharge protection and I imagine that it is not limited to 133 W and I don't know if that would put it in a position to attempt to pull more current than your batteries or the fuse can handle if you try and use very high watts. Thatguy
Yeah I believe it just throttles itdown if you go to high, I broke my screen the third day I hot it so I've been driving blind. Anyone know where to get replacement screens?
VapingBad
But I think it uses the balance tap connections and must be in LiPo or LiFePo configuration or it will not use these safety features just trusting that the 12 V power supply you told it you are using is capable.Screens are in short supply ATM, I don't know anywhere that has any. VapingBad
If you have a DNA40 large screen about you could borrow that until they are available again.

Jaquith
Okay, interesting 'stacked' suggests 'series' so 1st you need to make certain you have the latest firmware, next you need to properly wire you Balance charger, lastly that your Mod is in 133W and 2S mode.1. Wiring the 4-Pin Balancer (my guess this is your problem); see https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.websitetoolbox.com/186396/2411946 from thread from https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66226-topic/2. Latest Escribe - https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66731-topic/3. VapingBad
Not a video, but a very clear diagram and as Jaquith said don't forget to set it for 2 cells in Escribe (type = LiPo)https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/67232-topic/
