foggdawg
When trying to attach the screen and cable I ruined the ZIF connector. Following the instructions I tried to lift the cover but I had problems finding what part was actually moving. I guess I was pulling on the wrong part and the whole connector came up with the traces . What should I do now???
BobC
Contact Evolv, but to be honest, ZIF sockets are a pretty standard fare, all I've ever worked with have a bar / tab that can be lifted up to remove the cable, and then pressed down to lock the cable in the socket,Evolv datasheet has detail instruction with pics for how to do this
Spector NS5 RD
open a ticket with evolv for an RMA form. here's how the zif socket opens.
foggdawg
Thanks. I did open a ticket. Thanks for the pic. That piece broke when trying to raise it. I don't know why it was so hard to open. Hope I can get it repaired.

Guest
Looks like the solder is still on the board? If they can't fix it ill buy it from you at a fair price. Just pm me about it
foggdawg
Ok, I sent it back to evolve today. Sounds like they're gonna replace the board.
