LavaBox Owners Case Analyzer: POST YOUR RESULTS

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd create a thread where: LavaBox DNA200 owners can post their own "Case Analyzer" results, to compare.

Took a few hours to run, and these were my results:

CASE COOLING TIME CONSTANT: 423.64
CASE HEATING TIME CONSTANT: 736/44
CASE USB CHANGE TEMPERATURE RISE:
11.25 F
19.73 F/A

I ran the test at 75*F
According to Atomizer Analyzer the Room Temp was 76*F
However, this test may be inaccurate. I ran it when it was almost fully charged
I will run it again when it is about half charge.
The test took about 2.5 to 3 hours.

Also note, I Loaded the CSV Battery file from here
And I also set these

Battery Capacity: 9.99Wh
Soft Cell Cutoff: 3.09v
Mod Internal Resistance: 0.007 Ohms

Based on what I am seeing and from others posting their results for other mods.
It's hard to say how accurate the Case Analyzer actually is.

Room Temp, if this is not constant everywhere you decide to vape and charge, these numbers very well could change
This could cause big fluctuations. Right now, my Room temp from Atomizer Analyzer shows 65*F, but, I am in the same room I was in when I ran it the first time.
Yes, I believe that Temp is correct though. it is colder in here than when I ran it before.

I will run it 2 more times, and I will check both the Atomizer Analyzer and a Thermometer in this room and average the temp from that to run at.
Also, the next tests will be run at half charge, and the mod will sit in this room pretty much over night and then run the test.

If the results are drastically different, then I could only surmise that Case Analyzer may be kinda useless, as these settings can change based on the actual temp of the mod at any given time
Such as, you have it in your pocket, it's gonna heat up a bit, so, where the Analyzer and Thermal settings were set based on a Mod Temp of 70*F, you might be running it at a temp of 85*F

How this takes into account settings based on Case Temps and Ambient Temps at any given time, I don't see how this could stay accurate.

CASE COOLING TIME CONSTANT: 1623.94 ,,, but this was rounded down to 1000

CASE HEATING TIME CONSTANT: 170.19
CASE USB CHANGE TEMPERATURE RISE:
0.71 F

28.00 F/A

I did not run this twice, but new numbers
This one is probably a bit more accurate
I started it with about 45% battery

Ran at 82*F Room Temp

CASE COOLING TIME CONSTANT: 1521.32 ,,, but this was rounded down to 1000
CASE HEATING TIME CONSTANT: 753.92
CASE USB CHANGE TEMPERATURE RISE:

Just did an analysis @ Room Temp 73.58F

Some of the figures in above comments look quite crazy, the test runs for 3 hours 40 minutes and the mod must be left alone whilst the test is being carried out.
The 1st hour is to allow the Temp to settle, the next charges @ 0.50A for 1 hour, then cools for 1 hour, it then does 10 minutes each of charging & cooling @ 0.10A and 0.30A before giving you the results to accept & then upload to your device
