mattant19 Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 I recently received a tirade DNA 200 and I've had a few problems wit the chip I believe. When I set the wattage at the desired number, the device will fire while active ... when I set it down and let the device it barely hits a quarter of that wattage and doesn't fire correctly. I've tried multiple sets of batteries and RDAs and the same thing happens, so I plug it back in and update my settings again and it works fine again. It is currently on the newest firmware and the batteries are set to the right watt hours. Its just very frustrating. Any ideas?
BillW50 Posted June 8, 2016 Report Posted June 8, 2016 What kind of coils are you running there? Kanthal? And what kind of wattage are we talking about? It almost sounds like you are running temperature control coils.
mattant19 Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 In the three RDAs I've tried ... They are fused claptons (anarchist wire and ni80) and aliens either all ni80 or a mix of ni80 and anarchist
BillW50 Posted June 8, 2016 Report Posted June 8, 2016 And you can see the wattage drop on the display or you can tell that the wattage drops by the vape? Can you post a snapshot from the Device Monitor showing the pack voltage, power, voltage, and live ohms while it is firing?
mattant19 Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 wattage drop on both display and actual vape ... i will post the screen shot when i get to work
mattant19 Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 when I connect it to escribe it fires back up to 125 no problem ... this is so frustrating ... its only when it goes to "sleep" and when I start it back up it does the flux between 1-2 volts
MIsterious Vaper Posted June 8, 2016 Report Posted June 8, 2016 i had similar issue with my wismec did case analysis and also did atomizer analysis for each profile setup and has since been no problem as to under power anymore hope this helps
Nick Posted June 8, 2016 Report Posted June 8, 2016 I would guess that your build is just a bit too low and you are hitting one of the output limits after you put the mod down, it cools completely, and the resistance of the coil drops. Once its warm and you reset the mod it re-reads it as a higher resistance.Check the DNA200 spec sheet below (Pg. 4) for the "DNA 200 Kanthal Power" graph. Based on what Device Monitor is saying the resistance of your coil is it looks like it would drop you down to the wattage you are seeing.http://evolvapor.com/datasheet/dna200.pdf
