Hi James I'm using the latest firmware available : 2015-09-30 with the software 1.0.34. Next time the problem happen i will try to capture those information ! Yesterday, thinking that the problem was the connectivity between the dna and the 510 i resoldered the wire .. so maybe the problem was from here because for now that's working fine.

After some more tests, look like this is happening when the resistance become smaller instead of becoming bigger like this is supposed to happen. I'm using only 316L for temp control. For sure i never got this problem with my first unit. And i was using the same atomizer.

I just received a new dna200 from warranty and he is working fine, most of the time. I just got a very strange bug sometimes .. When i push the button the dna give the boost power and never stop, when that happen i can see on the screen 3554C .. My boost is configured for 1sec only so i really dont understand why he dont stop after that time. To stop it doing that i have to lower the temperature setting.

The Watts Increment value is really cool. I think its a good idea to add more value available (2, 5, 10) for the Hold increment

Some people will try to protect Evolv saying that this is because the assembly is the problem ... but i agree, i also got one dead dna200. You just have to search inside this forum to see that there is a lot of problems with the dna200 for now. I got a lot of box and this is the first time a chipset is dead after one week :-/ For sure Evolv are working on this problem right now, but they dont want to admit ...

Yeah if this is really a 1220mah lipo then the watt hours is : 1.22 x 11.1 = 13.542Wh

@Popeye : Someone on a french forum said that the battery on the Vtbox200 is 1220mah .. he measured that with a external charger. I also got the VTbox200 and i will try with something around 14Wh to see what happen For now i'm waiting for my new chipset because the first one is dead

I dont mean that there is no wire between Ground and 510, that was my question : do i need a good connection to ground even if 510 is connected to ground ? I ask that because when i look at the chipset, i cannot see a direct connection between differents ground .. so, is this better to make a good connection between the grounds ?

If you want to add external buttons, here is the info you need I hope you can connect the light directly to the OUT with the resistor btw !

Thanks for your help I will send back the board to evolv today ! i hope that will not take too long to come back to me. I was thinking about the ground problem today.. If i well understood, we can use the ground or not, this is not a problem. But if we use the ground we need a good connection right ? maybe the problem was that .. because the box is aluminum and there is only two screws to maintain the dna200 :-/

Sorry if i'm so abrasive my english is not good enough to try to speak about this and not being abrasive at the same time i think .. lol Abrasive on : Give me some reason for the chipset to die because of the mod itself please.. I already opened completely mine so i can see that there is two wire for the battery and two wire for the 510 (btw there is also the balance charging connection..) All those solder are pretty clean so i dont see any problems coming from here. The box was working perfectly fine, i just connected an atty and the chipset burned directly when i pushed the fire button. that was not even a shorted atty Oh also now there is a little component with 5 pins who become really hot when i connect the battery or the usb.

I'm pretty sure the problem is the chipset only. There is absolutely nothing around the chip that can make a problem happen I will post a picture later to show the component who become hot now that the chipset is dead.

One more here ! My dna200 just died ! I did nothing special ... the fuse is ok but nothing is working. i tried everything. When i connect the battery i can see a spark ! so i think something burnt and now there is some shortcut somewhere. There is a serious problems with your chipset Evolv !

Dont worry about the taste ... i know what i'm talking about. Having a coil at 280°C dont mean that the liquid will be at 280°C ... When i vape at 80W with a kanthal coil the feeling is way more hot than any material coil at 300°C. I did this post to ask for a new feature, i dont really care about what you think anyway..
