This has been dropped off of lifts from all sorts of heights, even run over by forklifts and bobcats. If you are interested you can design around my cradle and contacts it does a great job of protecting mods and I've already made the investments for molds and dies.

Has anyone tried to use the DNA75C in a use other than mods? Specifically as a regulator for a portable power bank?

Here are some pictures to show the wire replaced with stamped electrical contacts. These contacts are nickel plated steel.

I am about to go to the park with my kids. If you could give me some direction on the angles and parts of the cradle you would like pictures up it would help me with a write up.

I have been working on this DNA 75C Cradle and board mount on and off for a year. My main goals were to get rid of traditional wiring, integrate board mounting and standardize assembly movements. As of now the entire cradle and be populated outside of an enclosure and the board will power on as pictured below. I am looking for some feedback on this idea. Normally I don't share in process projects but I would like to deliver something polished. Let me know if anyone is interested and would like me to post additional photos.

Any information available about the footprint so manufacturers can begin producing enclosures?

It is a different fitting that the evolv 510. The pictures were just color samples the threading will be done after anodizing on all the holes. The pictures were just color samples the threading will be done after anodizing on all the holes. We haven't decided on the bevels yet still playing around with different shapes. We will still not be tapping the board mount holes we will still not be tapping the board mount holes but we will continue to provide self tapping screws . -

Hey everyone we have started responding to feedback and making adjustments accordingly. The board mounts will be deeper, we went with a custom 510 similar in design, made a larger version for a 1300 mah battery and, of course anodizing. -

I'm not sure if they are manufacturing their own version from my understanding there have been some QA issues with the 510 and we are looking into manufacturing the connector ourselves. As of this moment yes protovapor is the best place to pick up the connector you do not need the mounting hardware with this case. -

I suppose it would still prefer a solder joint to a mechanical connection any day. -

You don't have to but if you tighten the boards down all the way it just meant buttons don't actuate very well so instead of having a questionable mechanical connection we ran solder -

We are working on an adapter and spacer so FDV 510s can be used. If you do pick up a connector for protovapor you do not need the mounting hardware the 1/2" threading is plenty to retain the 510 you can just run some solder from GND out to the nearest mounting pad to make the electrical connection. These will be offered anodized at some point. -
