Use the device monitor to see what the output is doing when firing. With a 166 it may your batteries or the output voltage that is limiting you.

The DNA200 does officially support LiFePO4, though the DNA75 doesn't come with a LiFePO4 discharge profile built in. While the running voltage is quite low (you'll be in the 2.8-3V range under load in the 50-75W range) because the output curve is so flat you shouldn't be sitting just above the cell cutoff voltage for 95% of the discharge. Definitely worth trying out. I do have a bit of advice for getting a true 75W out of the DNA75 with fewer issues though. Specifically you will want to try and make sure your resistance is low enough that the board is doing step-down to regulate rather than step-up (boost). Step-down is significantly more efficient, and actually a good deal more accurate and smooth. This means fewer 'Too Hot' errors, and if you watch the output in escribe you'll notice it's significantly more flat. It may sounds a little ridiculous at first glance, but if you keep your resistance at or below 0.12ohms you should notice an improvement. It's not too difficult to achieve either. Depending on how you currently build (assuming you're generally using power mode), it might just be as simple as switching to using the same gauge of a lower resistance wire (like SS 316L), or changing from say an 8-wrap coil to a parallel 4-wrap of the same wire to 1/4 the resistance.

I've experienced the battery meter bug with a number of different DNA200 devices just after updating to 1.2SP3, but they have all fixed themselves. I think most of them were fixed after doing a simple settings upload, but I didn't think to write all that down. Devices affected (and issue resolved on its own): - Reuleaux DNA200 - Vaporshark DNA200 - A few others. Sorry I can't provide more info right now.

Can barely wait to get my hands on some of these boards. While I was predicting a single cell escribe-capable board a few months after the launch of the 200, I'm very glad you guys took it slow and went through multiple beta versions to weed out as many issues as possible.

There is no such thing as "power mode" on the 200. Unless you have the temperature limit set to "off", it will automatically detect and start measuring temperature when it detects on is attached.

Those are most likely B-bin or C-bin HG2s.build some large low gauge wire loops in an RDA and run the battery analyzer at 80W.

Too much proprietary stuff in the source to open it up. They're not going to hand over all their secret sauce to every company looking to clone the board. It would be awesome if they continue to open up more customization in escribe though.

I don't see any evidence to suggest that Wismec is abandoning the Reuleaux DNA200 for the future. Just looks like they're acknowledging that they're affected by the screen shortage just as much as other manufacturers are. The RX200 isn't a replacement of a threat to the DNA200, it's simply a way for them to help meet the massive demand for the product by offering people a significantly cheaper option. Those who really don't have any need of the advanced features and performance the DNA200 delivers can instead just buy an RX200, helping lower demand for the DNA200 allowing those who actually want one a better chance to get one.

Hey everyone. So we currently sell the VT200 and Lavabox at our shop, and out of the blue one of each has come back with seemingly identical issues. They just appear completely dead, non-responsive to button presses, will not connect to PC nor to escribe. The first, the VT200 yesterday, became unresponsive around 7PM during a meet. At 8PM we asked to see it again and actually found the device worryingly warm to the touch. It had just been sitting on a table. We quickly opened it up and disconnected the battery. Thinking it might have been a battery issue, I connected the pack up to a proper balance charger tonight only to see it reading completely normal. Voltages at 3.9V, all cells in balance, no apparent issues. Tonight a customer contacted us saying his Lavabox simply became completely non-responsive as well. Anyone experience any issues like this as well? Any idea what it could be?

Going over a cell's continuous rating with pulsed vaping loads will not cause it to vent, assuming we're only talking about high quality NCM hybrid cells here. Cells like the Sony VTC4/VTC5, Samsung 25R/25R5, LG HE2/HE4, etc are torture tested by their respective companies. Take this shot of Samsung's high pulse cycle life test for the 25R from the datasheet. You're going to hit the board voltage cutoff long before any risk of venting. Note however that I'm not arguing Evolv should allow 2 cell configurations to run at 200W, nor that it's a good idea to do so with any device. Just pointing out that it's entirely possible to do so within a reasonable safety margin (but not the rock solid margin expected of Evolv products). They can't account for people using garbage re-wrapped cells, or otherwise screwing around and getting themselves hurt. There's also the simple hardware explanation. The board is designed to take 20A continuous input current, and has a 25A fuse on-board. It simply can't take enough current to output 200W in a 2S config.

The board has memory and it saves your resistance when it sleeps. It will run refinement on the coil after sitting idle for 5 minutes, which can cause the shown resistance to move ever so slightly. If it's changing more than 0.01ohms or so it's likely a build issue.

To put it quite simply, just because the Smok lets you input such a precise value, doesn't mean it's actually going to make any kind of real difference. Once you're at that kind of range your temp sensing is already pretty wildly inaccurate, because the resistance changes are simply too small. For SS in particular, I've basically found it best used as simple dry hit/dry wick protection. Don't try to "vape it at a temperature", rather just use the temp protection as intended and use your wattage setting to control the vape.
