Boundless Posted Sunday at 12:48 PM Report Posted Sunday at 12:48 PM Hello people of this forum! I was wondering, is the battery capacity in the stock firmware limited for battery protection/lifespan enhancement? I noticed that the capacity in the datasheet is 1300mAh while in the firmware it is set to 1080mAh. That would be about 82% or if the actual capacity is 1350mAh it would be a perfect 80% charge limit.

I do NOT believe so, and I can't explain the 1080 mAh value. The cell charges fully to 4.35V as shown for the 'Fully charged battery voltage' field.

Leftover from testing maybe?
Wayneo Posted Sunday at 10:09 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:09 PM No, definitely not. It was changed at some time.
Boundless Posted Sunday at 10:11 PM Author Report Posted Sunday at 10:11 PM Weird, I got it new still sealed. It did have 4 puffs on it and got reset already though. My thought on that was factory testing, please correct me if I'm mistaken.
Wayneo Posted Sunday at 10:14 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:14 PM Boards are tested before shipping and they usually do a reset before shipping.
Boundless Posted Sunday at 10:17 PM Author Report Posted Sunday at 10:17 PM Alright so that is indeed normal. I'll monitor the next charge and see if it indeed fully charges to 4.35V and to which mAh value and post it in here. Maybe the value is not that important after all. Thank you for your help so far @Wayneo
