Terribletwos Posted Wednesday at 05:06 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:06 PM So this is what I want the final device to be programmed for: •Switch off antiburn •Preheat function •Full tc functionality •Wattage mode •Voltage mode I could only do number 1 because I don't know how to do the rest. Is it even possible and can somebody please help me
Wayneo Posted Wednesday at 05:41 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:41 PM •Preheat function Already there. That's called boost/punch •Full tc functionality No can do. It uses TC learnings to enable Replay and Anti burn. •Wattage mode Already there •Voltage mode No can do. No DNA boards in over 10 years have voltage mode.

Terribletwos Posted Wednesday at 06:18 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 06:18 PM (edited) This vape is so good and the chip is more than capable to do all that I am asking. There must be a way... Maybe an unofficial service pack which gives full customisation. By preheat function I mean a dedicated preheat function to warm up the coils without vaporising properly like on the yocan uni pro and full tc functionality is obviously possible with this chip if it wasn't hidden. Voltage mode too is just plain hidden. And I know it's "just" a pod system but it's the fact that it is running a really good chip that annoys me, with all of it's untapped locked potential. If there is literally any way possible I can do it please tell me. Edited Wednesday at 06:20 PM by Terribletwos

Terribletwos Posted 10 hours ago Author Report Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Does anyone know of an unofficial way to programme this mod. Criteria of programming capabilities: •Switch off antiburn •Preheat function •Full tc functionality •Wattage mode •Voltage mode And full button remap in accordance to newly assigned functions Escribe software is so restrictive that I can't functionally achieve any of these other than the one which is stock (wattage mode) and turning off fill detection (antiburn), and all that does is stop the device from reading pods. I have spoken to evolv about this and officially their hands are tied with even in helping just me. I'm sure loads of us want this and they themselves pushed for it in product development but oxva rejected advanced programming, supposedly. I call this basic though. Since this is my last shot before I return the two devices I purchased I want to go all out and say I don't mind and already know that any bricking going down this route is on me. By any means necessary I want to be able to do this and get what I thought I had paid for - An evolv chip with full customisability. So does anyone know of a way? I have tried everything possible at this point! And I really mean it when I say BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY Edited 10 hours ago by Terribletwos
Terribletwos Posted 3 hours ago Author Report Posted 3 hours ago Why use closed source software and restrict the user from doing what they want with their own device? Don't say safety because that's already built into the firmware and anyone working on the it, if it were open source, would be liable to ensure that they leave that alone. Simply the escribe software should be way more free. if you paid for something which is advertised as programmable; So yeah, Infact the box is lying. This is shoddy at best and disappointing for evolv themselves to handicap their product and keep it fixed in functionality. You also can't flash your own custom firmware you build yourself or by using something like redpanda because there is built in encryption stored on the chip itself not giving the user a deviation point. Sad and horrible tbh that the best hardware manufacturer in the world would short themselves like that for consumerism when these devices are for high end users even if this is the lowest one. I wanted to climb the ladder and purchase an lve therion 2 250c because I thought I could, but after looking at that software packet, I couldn't even do what I wanted on this device, on there. Straight up nonsense @Wayneo I feel deceived and I bet the mods will delete my content for making others aware to stay clear if they plan to purchase this device with any form of flexible programming requirements in mind. 1
