timinho111 Posted Sunday at 06:31 PM Report Posted Sunday at 06:31 PM I've been using the Xlim DNA for about two weeks and have two major issues: I am using the 1.2 Ohm SS Pods. In the beginning its all good. After around 400-500 Puffs the Pod is ALWAYS detected as 1.6 Ohm Pod and I can only use 10 Watts maximum. Also starting at almost the same point the burn protection goes off and tells me to "Fill Pod" even though the pod is full. It tells me that for every second puff. Like this device is close to being unusable. I am on firmware v111.2. I think the "Fill Pod" issue was also with the 0.8 Ohm which was sent with the device but not 100% sure. Any ideas? Would be greatly appreciated.
Wayneo Posted Sunday at 08:21 PM Report Posted Sunday at 08:21 PM For starters, you should ensure you're using the latest firmware. The way these (and all pods) do this Ω detection is via a range. Yours has now drifted/increased enough to be at the low end of the 1.6Ω coil. That increase could be due to crud build-up on your coil or a coil that when new was close to the upper limit. You could either adjust (via escribe) the high limit, higher on the 1.2Ω AND the min limit higher for the 1.6Ω. Or just increase the 'Max Power' for the 1.6Ω coil. Unfortunately I'm on a Mac, with older software than you, so I'm no more help.
timinho111 Posted Sunday at 08:26 PM Author Report Posted Sunday at 08:26 PM Thanks, this helps, will try it tomorrow! Very likely its crud on the coil since the liquid seems to be very sweet (Drip Hacks Alkaline Rise, can see the liquid getting brownish once the misreading happens so probably caramelized in there). The crud is probably also the reason for the dry hit detection not working probably I assume. Is there any way to improve this any way or do I just have to live with it? If I find a puff where its not telling me to "Fill Pod" I press the replay button and this helps but this is just a workaround....
timinho111 Posted yesterday at 10:06 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 10:06 AM Ok its not possible to change any settings concerning power/wattage in either Mod (read-only fields) or General (if I set to 12W it does not change it on the mod even after uploading it to device)

Wayneo Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago I don't believe that's the latest. So for the third time, update to the latest. It's in the link below. Ensure you download the INT version. Update your mod.

Ensure you download the INT version. Update your mod. It is actually the latest. I reinstalled everything but still no prompt to update to the latest firmware. v111.2 is also shown in the update guide from OXVA after upgrading the firmware: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FE5YjxetLt6gWtCrLSOU6wESZCubpTiS (from the Media Kit of the OXVA page). So pretty sure its the newest one.
Wayneo Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Install this. https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66731-early-firmware-and-escribe-suite/page/2/#findComment-945802

I tried the OXVA + SP67 first. Now the INT + SP67. But no change. No prompt to update and both have Version 1.1 SP112.2 INT in the device monitor.
Wayneo Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Start escribe with mod plugged in. It's the bottom option of 'Tools' called Apply Service Pack.

Wayneo Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Did you see the Oxva folder, and upload what was in there? Show me a screenprint please.

Wayneo Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Yup, and great. That/this version will now update you to to future firmware updates. Now go to 'About Escribe'. Click the teardrop in the logo 7 times. It'll like flash the screen. Go to the Mod tab. The last line under each column shows the 'coil resistance'. The 4th one from your diagram shows 1.2Ω. Go 7 down from the top 'Max Resistance'. Change .78 to .88 The SS1.6 is the last one, of 10 Go 7 down from the top 'Min Resistance'. Change .78 to .90 Might as well change Max Power (near the bottom) to 14. Upload settings to mod. Lemme know the results. This hould als fix 'fill pod'

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! edit: ok was too excited a little early it now shows "Fill Pod" every time. It correctly detects it as 1.2 Ohm now, but directly shows me fill pod when drawing. Wayneo Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago You're very welcome. What does your 1.2Ω coil now register as? BTW, when you change juices or wanna go back to OG, you can always reload the OG settings, by doing File, New. Enjoy your mod.

BTW, when you change juices or wanna go back to OG, you can always reload the OG settings, by doing File, New. Enjoy your mod. It registers as 1.2 Ohm with your settings. But like my edit said: Its then really unusable since I can not pull at all (always "Fill Pod"). I also tried something else and just set the "Max Power" to 12W on the 1.6 Ohm with the regular settings. But also 12W with the registered 1.6 Ohm lead to "Fill Pod". So for now it seems that I just have to live with 10W max and a 1.6 Ohm registered coil.
Wayneo Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Alrighty then. If you look at the 3 pressure settings, the ones for the 1.6Ω coil are different than all the other SS's. I'd change those to match the others. Starting from 'Fill pod, min power. and down' to 47, 88, 67. I can't vouch if those are accurate so your 'fill pod' might be off for the 1.6Ω Edit: I'm not comfortable doing all this without working with a person, like I've done with you. If you don't mind, at the end I'd like to hide this post.

I get your point. I also saw you replied on reddit to my comment. Will delete the link to this topic also from there to have no links to this post on there.
Wayneo Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Great. I don't want persons just doing all this, without any assistance, on their own. As you can see, because you've been communicative throughout, when you speak the current issue, we can go deeper.

I matched the Fill Pod settings from the 1.2 and 1.6 and now I can do 12W with the detected 1.6 and its not telling me to "Fill Pod". Thanks a lot again!!! You can hide this now I think
