Zig
My temp control on my lost vape triade started acting wired on me when I had it in my pocket and it went off temp control ( I know I should have locked it in ) and it fired in power control mode. I noticed it after about 5 seconds. the wicks were wet and had a burnt taste. since I was out I had to deal with it. So I head home to change the cotton and this is where things started getting odd. It would not accept my premade profile I normal use ( picture included) and after some messing around I got it back to normal. fast forward two days I noticed when it fires it sometimes shows 41297F... which I find quite odd. Since I'm new to the DNA chip and the evolv program I'm wondering if I am messing up somewhere. I have done a reset on the system and updated the service pack to no luck of it being how it was when I got it. I'm using 316 SS duel clapton coils made of 28 ga and 36 ga. I have never had a problem with it in the two months I have had it till now. So I'm kind of at a loss of what to do now to have it work as it should and learn some things about how to use TC mode so I don't mess up my mod. thank you Edited June 22, 2017 by Zig
Wayneo
That burnt taste was because your mod was firing for that duration at the full 80 watts because of no TP. As to the 41297 value ....... can you make sure your 510 pin and all inside the 510 is clean and free of juice for starters. Can you post 2 more printscreens. Mod tab, better seeing the lower portion of the screen, not the upper. Material profile with SS316 selected in the right hand window. Edit: Your preheat time limit right now is set at 0. So you're not getting that at all. With some fancy coils, I'll use 2-3 seconds One last question - Do you remember that coil reading that same value 0.30? Zig
Thanks for the response Wayneo, Oh I know that was the cause of the burnt taste. and oh it tasted great... The 510 is sparkling clean. and the 510 pin on my goon is clean as well and all of the screws on my atomizer are tight. With this atomizer even if I get some juice on the top of the mod it does not get into the 510 pin area As for the ohms, it was jumping around from 0.24 to as high as 0.31 when it's acting weird but they are sitting at 0.24 right now. which I'm guessing since it's in Tc mode the coils were warm and not room temp the readings were ranging. And are these the photos of the things you were talking about? I also just set up the 2 or 3 second preheat.
Wayneo
Perfect. Every image shows that your mod is set up properly (not evolv defaults). Which would then lead me to ask if you've checked the build is still stable (since that Auto Fire) in Atomizer Analyzer (General Tab), bottom left. With those wires, you'll notice changes as it applies very low power intermittently). Apart from that, you've supplied enough info for other eyes. Would you mind, just telling us Escribe version and Firmware version for completeness
Zig
the service pack that I last used was 1_2SP5 from 2016. I have auto update set up on the EScribe system. Is there a newer version of it out?
Wayneo
Yes. There's a version 2 SP3, to accommodate the DNA75 Color, but no new enhancements for the any other board. I'd just stay right where you are.
Zig
I didn't know you could set the material of the coils. which I'm sure helped out. Thank you for all the info wayneo. My mod seems to be working as it should now which is great. I'm glad it was something very fixable and easy to do.
