laadam
A while back I built a PC using an ASUS motherboard. They offered a small "program" that increased USB charging capability, I used it to charge my iPad that required higher amperage. The software worked on my laptop motherboard as well as other manufacturers. I no longer have the PC to test but imagine it would work to increase the charge for the DNA.For those daring: ASUS AI Charger
Dampmaskin
My Asus Z97-AR motherboard, which is only a few months old, seems to come with this functionality as well. I haven't tested it out. But AFAIU the DNA-200 will limit the charging current on its end to 500 mA if it detects a data line, so increasing the output of the motherboard probably won't have any effect. laadam
Would be interesting to see how it worked. I was able to sync and charge my iPad simultaneously using it. Is there a limitation in the DNA chip?
Dampmaskin
I believe there is. Whether that limitation is in software or hardware, I don't know.
