Popeye
Is this likely to be a dead mod or just a dead battery?
Nick
What mod/make is it? Are all the cells reading 4.2v in Device Monitor?
Popeye
I am out atm, earlier today it was working fine but now it wont fire above 20w. Its indicating 12.3v pack voltage
Popeye
Hooked it up to escribe, all cells reporting 4.1V which is expected, but the issue is when i try to fire the mod. cell 1 drops to 3.89, cell 2 drops to 3.59 and cell 3 drops to 3.66 so would i be thinking along the lines of a weak cell? awsum140
If it's a hand built mod, double check the connections at the balance connector, just in case.
Popeye
Ifs a vtbox200 bud, thanks for that ill have a looksie
awsum140
Maybe check the battery connections and the atomizer connections as well, as long as you're at it. I'm not sure if the VTB uses connectors or is directly soldered, but either way a look-see can't hurt.
Popeye
Yeah ill check it all when i open it. Cant hurt to look. Gosh this thing is going in the bin or getting stripped for parts soon haha
awsum140
How old is it. how many charge cycles? If the connections all look good I'd contact the vendor is it's still in warranty. If not, the next thing would be another battery.
Popeye
Its 2 weeks ish and the vendor has told me to go to the manufacturer. All connections inside look ok so must be a bad cell so time to look for a battery. Thanks for your help
Popeye
Ive ordered a turnigy nano tech 1500mah battery. After some measurement it looks as if it will fit and seen some good reviews on it
