mikepetro Posted October 24, 2015 Author Report Posted October 24, 2015 I have had a few intermittent instances on the 1.0.35.2 software where it has prompted me for a new atty when it shouldnt have. Didnt capture it but it read:New Coil?Yes 0.08?No 0.08?This one I captured:with Ohm Lock Range set at 25%
VapingBad Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 I get that after changing atty, which I like, but not without an atty change.
mikepetro Posted October 24, 2015 Author Report Posted October 24, 2015 Same atty, just removed it to refill.
VapingBad Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 I think that is by design, only now you don't have to fire it to trigger the message.
mikepetro Posted October 24, 2015 Author Report Posted October 24, 2015 Strange that it doesnt do it every time if it is by design. And why would it prompt for a new atty if there was less than a hundredth of an ohm difference? What useful purpose does that serve?New Coil?Yes 0.08?No 0.08?
turbocad6 Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 I've seen that msg before on earlier firmware as well. I think if you fire it without an atty and it KNOWS that there was an atty swap, then it automatically asks even if the resistance is the same or very close to the same
VapingBad Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 I would guess that the disconnection is picked up by the refinement process and as that is not always active it would explain why it is not every time. It could be that they have done it so you don't have to force a change by firing. At 0.09 ohm cold res where I am vaping I/100th of an ohm is about 30 F.
turbocad6 Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 well yeah, it could be picked up on a refinement poll pulse too if it happened to poll while an atty was off, but firing it without an atty is a sure fire way of duplicating this every time
VapingBad Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 I just noticed that sometimes when disconnecting an atty the res on the screen drops to 0, which fits with this behaviour.
scoopy Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 I to agree with VapingBad bad that this is a refinement issue
