Updating firmware on new device

Hi,

My board was programmed in June 2016 yet there is a firmware update from February this year available following the 'Update Firmware...' drop-down menu.  Should I manually install this update?

Go to Device Monitor and look in the lower right corner to see what firmware version is installed already.  The firmware files in the "drop down" may already be installed...
