Therion 166 : 510 smell after firing

Hello, recently bought a Therion 166 and one day took a hit and took the battery cover off and noticed a hint of electronic smell coming from where the 510 connection is right above the battery. Smells like electronics doing its thing. I've tried two sets of LGHG2 batteries and it's with both.

My question is: Is this a normal thing for it to do? Are my batteries going bad?

I'm guessing I've never had access like this to the 510 connection on other mods to say this is a normal thing.

I have never smelled 'electronic' smells coming from my Therion...if you are even questionable about your batteries, you might want to consider some new ones...just a thought
