What are the net available dimensions of the box left for the battery now that you have the switch and 510 installed?

105x47 now minus the 510 and fire button.

I used this in my N1 it fits in there well but I did change out the wiring on the battery though/

That's spec is 187 and I only have 105 left.  N1 must be a tall box

If you use the hobbyking site, you can put in min and max dimensions as well as 4S etc., and it'll bring up what will fit

    Sweet, didn't know.  Thank you!

  2. I'm looking for the largest 4S battery I can find for this box:

    Inside dimensions: 117.4mm x 61.7mm x 35.8mm

Click here for the eBay listing from Alpintech....

I'll never need 400 watts but I want 4 cells pushing lower wattage for better delivery.  And beside, I have the room!  This will likely be an around the house Vape as big as it will be.

This is what it looks like so far.  Looking for Ideas for Art also.  I got the unfinished for that reason.  I'm an Artist by nature I guess you'd say.  Look at the table it's on :rollseyes)

Thanks in advance, you gays are awesome!  I looked to see if Evolv has any back in stock but don't see the listing at all now.  You know they own an RC company on the same property, right?  Their brand is hard to find.  Must be hard for them to find too!

  3. If someone sends me a Finder 250C I will tell you for sure how to fix it.  I don't usually get what I do not ask for so, send me a free mod so I can help direct and I will for sure!  I do this stuff on a daily, homes and 3*businesses owner is my source.

Looking at Pictures, the outside window looks larger than a stock screen so I would worry about the gap left if it is removed (and how far back it is) but I can fix that.  Just need one in hand to figure out the physics

I think I have some modification pictures on Instagram some time back...

Mine started acting all weird again with the quad core.  I went to a dual core 28/40 316L fused clapton and it is extremely consistent and a great vape.  So for now I don't think it is ready for larger coils on the 75C.  I've only be using replay in my wattage profile.

Yeah, I'm sure it all comes down to stability.  I'm hoping Evolv adds a stability tool to Escribe and offer us a little more guidance on replay requirements.  Might be hard to say without giving away too much to the Chinese

I think I got it.  There might have been something wrong with the coil as I swapped it for another of the exact type and it seems to be working fine again.

I sure would like to get to the bottom of this because I'm all over the place when I use something other than simple round wire.

The second pull there is 2.57 seconds and it still didn't hit the low setting of 430.  Historically I like the setting to be between 480-520.  It feel hotter than it says it is.  I ran case analyzer on one on my Paranormal but it didn't change if it was supposed to.

  6. Stability Stability Stability

That's what replay is all about.  I have tried many coils and if I use straight wire it is the most stable and replay works as advertised.

However, if the coil used is stable enough to give the replay option but is still a little unstable it will not replay correctly.  My experience has shown that I usually get too much wattage on the replay of a slightly unstable coil.  However still, the exact same coil on a single setup in a 75C instead of dual on a 250C seems to work better in replay.  So go figure....

Has anyone found a way to solve this mystery?

    Any ideas @Nick

From what I've found, your coil has to very VERY stable.  Other than that I think you did the right thing going back to default.  I'd keep it that way until you figure it out, them tweak.

  8. Bottom line is coil stability is required for Replay to work!!!

But, check out this crazy coil I got to work.  I think it's more stable because of the straight wire wrapped with the ribbon.  The straight wire is preventing the others from flexing from the heat n cool down.

This is on a Rafale X Rda that has the neutral center pin that I think is pretty cool to cut the Ohms of a dual build in half or double, whatever.  You know what I mean... It's the only othe RDA I have without a squonk pin! But it works in Replay...  0.33 Ohms

Some Kanthal pre-made coils work in Replay.... I think it is because of the design and resistance rise as a result of the way the coil attaches to the housing.. Here is a screenshot of a Kanthal premade coil showing the cold ohms and live ohms rise......and the power decreases with repeat vape because the coil is already heated....

So obviously Ohms stability is of utmost importance. I made this to see if I could get replay to work with a simple Clapton build but I can't.  Too much Ohms fluctuation!

I haven't had time to test changing the 'Ohm Lock Range' on the Mod/Safety tab in EScribe.

  10. I spent over a week fighting replay because I was using something other than a simple round wire build (I never do that, do you?)

As soon as I did a simple build it worked.  You should try that or a tank on the 'approved' list.  I used a Uwell Crown with SS coils for the easy test.

Good luck and please update with what you find.

@iambyrdman not sure on the V12 but here is the link for the V8 https://store.smoktech.com/product/details/v8-rba-16-core

I'm not sure that's it because it has an Ohm rating.  That's the regular V8 coil.

Id ask my SMOK sales rep but I cut them off because of the bad information on the Prince coils.  So sad I can't get an honest answer after busting her for telling me they are 304 when they seem not to be.  What's so hard about telling me what they're made out of?  Sad...

Here's a weird one to add to the discussion... I've been trying to vape up all the juice I have in tanks so I can more on to a new (wonderful) mix and picked up a TFV8 with a prebuilt Q4 coil.  I get the replay option after ever vape and it seems to work.  I would think those were Kanthal so what gives?  Here's Device Monitor of the TFV8 and you can see where it pulls back on power even though there's not temperature readout.  Strange...

I've found 2 of my SMOK RBA's have the insulator melted and cracked that was causing me issues with replay. SMOK has a new deck out for the TFV8 that is a clamp style and so far is working well

    smok.jpg

    Looks SO much better!

Where did you find the new RBA for the TFV8?  ...linkie...  Do you know if the TFV12 is to follow?  Hope so!

Every single time Replay has crapped out on me was do to a an instability in the base resistance

I have slowly learned that you are exactly right.  I had been vaping the RBA we've talking about all day today.  When I got home I put in in front of a fan for an hour or more.  I took it and held it for a bit and started testing the resistance and the fluctuation we're pretty wide.  +/- 0.35!!!

I built this:  and the fluctuation is less than 0.15. and replay is working correctly.  So Evolv might want to make clear how much it can fluctuate.  And can we change it in EScribe on the Mod/Safty tab, "Ohm Lock Range"  Mine is set at 0.25 from the factory.  So if I changed it to 0.36 would replay have worked on that first build that wasn't working?  I wonder.  Don't have the time to dig those out of the trash and rebuild.  Maybe someone smarter than me will chime in like has been happening.

Good to figure stuff out.  Replay needs a solid Ohms reading, no variation.  Got it

  14. I hope so.  I would think replay would be best for builders.  Tanks with prebuilt coils are fairly consistent on their own.  No need for replay.  I think replay is waste on prebuilt coils.  If it doesn't give a consistent vape, something's wrong.

    IMHO

I'm all for Evolv.  I'd rather they pay a lot more tax than me;-)  I own 3 businesses in Ohio, I make that joke on a regular!  I'm all for showing no profit....  I'm so stoked they're 20 minutes up the road.

Not so stoked I've waited at least over a week for an RMA.  Swamped right now, I seent it!  No biggie, I'm covered with 2 Paranormal 250C, 1 Therion 75C and the one I build with flaws.
