Last time I buy a hcigar mod! I see the screens aint that exspenisive to buy, so I may as well have a stab at fixing it. Thanks for the imput guys.

HCigar has nothing to do with it, the screen is produced by Evolv. And even here I have some doubts, most likely Evolv buys screens from third parties.

  2. Lot of time without seeing new products based on DNA chips.
What's happening? There isn't a new lineup of products using the DNA75c and many manufacturers seem they have ignored DNA250c also.

I really would like to see some products that compete with the HCigar VT75c which is, in my opinion, one of the hottest segments in the vape world.
Still I can't find anything that can be comparable to this product (single battery, small form factor, 26650 battery, good looking).

  3. You can't.
I don't know if you're trolling or you just need some basic knowledge in consumer electronics, but the themes from this forum are meant to be used on DNA boards produced by Evolv.
The Vaporesso Switcher is manufactured by Vaporesso and it uses its own Omniboard 2.x boards and chips.

I’ve tried looking to see if they released the “Replay” for the DNA 75C’s. But I don’t see anything posted I clicked here there. Where should I be looking?

I think that the only way of trying it right now is just using a reference box like the ones Evolv sent to reviewers. I don't think it has been officially released for the masses yet

In Temp mode your settings (18 watts and 210C)  causes the vape to reach temperature and it maintains temp well below 18 watts.  In power mode you give a full 18 watts to the atty.

Increase the wattage and the temperature until you get a good vape. (Example - Try 225C and 25 watts in Temp Mode...)

Ok but it seems (correct me if I'm wrong) that there is plenty of power to achieve higher temperatures (after all it uses half of that most of the time). What concerns me the most is the temperature is not constant. When working well, I see in other builds that the temperature curve is smooth and precise. In my build, instead, the temperature is very unstable with strong spikes around the desired temperature. Sometimes 215°, sometimes 205°, like it is never been able to stabilize. Sure, I can achieve a satisfying vape just increasing the temp goal, but with these large spikes, I'm guessing if something is really malfunctioning.
Is stainless steel problematic with this board?

EDIT: The temperature has large spikes but the resistance is not acting that good neither (so this could depend by the resistance acting weired). I would expect a slight increase over time of the resistance value, instead even this value is having spikes while being hit by current:

I would expect a linear increase, not these huge spikes in resistivity.

  6. Hi.
    Here is my setup:
    Coil: ThunderHead Creations, SS316, 28AWG, 2.5mm, 6 wraps: 0.81Ω

    Power: 18W

    Temperature: 210°C

    Preheat: 25W

    Temperature: 210°

Settings for SS316: CSV file from Steam Engine with TCR 0.000915

The results from the vaping experience are attached to this post. Not much vapor produced, it's like the atom can't have the necessary power to vaporize the eLiquid, but if I go in power mode and I set 18W, the experience is smooth, very smooth.

Question: what's the problem? Can't figure out what is going on.

    From this  thread:

RECOMMENDED SERVICE PACK (DNA 75 Color)

    EScribe Suite 2.0 SP5.2
    For US-based customers: https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP5_2_US_ServicePack.exe
    For international customers: https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP5_2_INTL_ServicePack.exe

I was asking because I was already aware of that page. But considering that 1.1 SP27 exist from October 2017 and no further releases have been produced, including clarifications on eventual problems this version might have, everything seems to be "abandonware". You know, if a particular version is not released for the general public, I would expect at least newer builds that fix the eventual problems the previous versions have.
Considering 1.1 SP27 is 4 months old without any further versions / release notes, I was wondering which is the Evolv opinion on this version.

It is interesting that SP27 was "offered" by the automatic update, so I assumed that it was fine.

My Escribe is International V2.0 SP9

You're receiving an "experimental" version from the automatic update because you're using an experimental base version of eScribe. As I said. anything beyond SP2.5 for eScribe is not offered from the official DNA75C page, which is "stuck" at SP2.5

@James  I would be interested in the answer to that one as well, I too only manage to find SP25

This depends by the version of eScribe you're using. From the official location, the downloadable eScribe version is 2.0 SP5.2. This version brings the firmware version 1.1 SP25
There are newer builds of eScribe downloadable from the forum, but, considering they're not downloadable from the official location (the DNA75 board page), they should be considered "experimental".
I don't know if Evolv consider versions beyond SP25 experimental versions, in any case this should be handled a little bit better because it generates confusion in users.

For me, the last "official" version intended for general use remains 1.1 SP25, bigger versions are still experimental and, as such, potentially broken and / or harmful.

  10. Isn't this behaviour normal when using temperature control with a high changing resistance material and an unlocked coil? Some materials double their resistance value at certain temperatures. With an unlocked coil, isn't this normal?
Let's say you have vaped a lot, the coil is very hot and it's resistance value is 0.85 ohm.
Now you stop vaping, the coil cools down a lot and its resistance value goes down to 0.40 ohm.

Next time you vape, the box detect an high mismatch between the current resistance and the last read one, so it will ask if you have changed the coil.

    What's the problem?

Honestly, i don't know. if I click on 'Apply service pack' i get the sp27 version.
Anyway as I said it's several months it's available.
    That's not the 'replay' update

It depends by the version of eScribe you have. The current "official" one is the 2.0 SP 5.2 which contains only firmware update 1.1 SP25
Any version beyond this is still considered experimental. In fact, from the DNA75c download page, the downloadable escribe international version is the 2.0 SP25.

Can you tell which version of eScribe are you using?
