  1. I love the dna200 but i just dont trust the mod its in so i think my next step will be tearing the mod apart and starting from scratch. I still use my series box and tube mod for pure simplicity and the fact that theyre cheap enough to replace if i trash it at work.
  2. Id take the cover off and make sure the balance connector is plugged in properly
  3. I know there are a few people waiting for news on a good one that fits, but i can confirm that the Turnigy nano tech 1300mah DOES fit and it is a massive upgrade. Useable battery life has doubled for me, even at higher wattages. The exact battery is the 25-50c battery, the higher one will not fit. I didn't like how tight the connectors were (fitment wise, inside the box) so i got rid and soldered the battery straight to the board. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__11903__Turnigy_nano_tech_1300mah_3S_25_50C_Lipo_Pack.html This one does fit, but you will need to swap the connector over, or solder it to the board.
  4. Ive ordered a turnigy nano tech 1500mah battery. After some measurement it looks as if it will fit and seen some good reviews on it
  5. Its 2 weeks ish and the vendor has told me to go to the manufacturer. All connections inside look ok so must be a bad cell so time to look for a battery. Thanks for your help
  6. Yeah ill check it all when i open it. Cant hurt to look. Gosh this thing is going in the bin or getting stripped for parts soon haha
  7. Ifs a vtbox200 bud, thanks for that ill have a looksie
  8. Hooked it up to escribe, all cells reporting 4.1V which is expected, but the issue is when i try to fire the mod. cell 1 drops to 3.89, cell 2 drops to 3.59 and cell 3 drops to 3.66 so would i be thinking along the lines of a weak cell?
  9. I am out atm, earlier today it was working fine but now it wont fire above 20w. Its indicating 12.3v pack voltage
  10. Is this likely to be a dead mod or just a dead battery?
  11. I am a bit of a noob when it comes to lipos, what is a tolerable imbalance between cells please?
  12. It will help because 1) you will be able to see how much sag there is on the battery and 2) its how weve been checking remaining capacity on series and parallel unregulated boxes for ages now, usually a pretty accurate method tbh
  13. What resistance coil are you using to get that time at that power on?
  14. Its advertised at 19.5wh or 1800mah which it obviously isnt. If i do build a mod i will be returning this for a refund just wanted to see what people thought
  15. I do understand the quality of the chip guys it beats my other regulated mods hands down, i just miss getting a full day out of it. Total life today was 138 puffs...That was at 80w lol
  16. Did that and it worked, thank you
  17. Just wondering if its something you plan to implement. I know the other high power mods generally pulse at higher power for battery safety reasons, but i can imagine it will enhance battery life too. 200w on a dna mod is another level to 200w on a snow wolf, but the snow wolf 2x18650 series lasts longer even at the same wattage depending on what lipo we use. Thanks
  18. I have got usb current set to come up when plugged in, ive set the current limit to 1A and using a wall plug but it doesnt go to my charge screen settings for some reason
  19. If i set the battery capacity incorrectly, does the chip automatically stop charging at 4.2V in each cell or will it keep going until the set WH is reached? Just a little concerned because in Escribe my battery pack voltage is fluctuating between 12.60 and 12.61, still charging at 0.5A and is approx 300wh from full charge.
  20. At 100w casual day off vaping ive got the weak battery in under an hour. Anyone found a good alternative available in the uk?
  21. There is a 100w limit for kanthal coils btw, find it in escribe and put it up to 200w.
  22. Id be surprised if you got more than 1200mah tbh
  23. I dont think it will do any harm just the battery meter will be inaccurate as hell but i might be wrong. The mod should auto stop charging at 4.2v per cell iirc
  24. Oh yeah it is a good mod, but i didnt buy it to have to get new parts for it to still not perform as they claim. If i wanted to do that, idve built it myself
  25. Ok ive just seen on another thread that they got 1150mah from the battery analyser inside escribe. A couple of hundred mah i could understand or tolerate, but not under 2/3 of the claimed capacity.
