    Wake up

BillW50, When I was going to purchase my hCigar VT200 DNA200 from ecig, I noticed that they had a disclaimer that read that the warrantee would be void because they were selling the mod below the manufacturers recommended price. So I didn't purchase my mod from them. So when you purchase something high dollar from ecig, be sure and read their disclaimers.
  2. Hi. I have an Hcigar VT200 and it works perfectly with NI200 and Kanthal. But when I use SS 361L (UD makes it) it screws up in Temp control. For instance, I set it at 400Deg F and it works fine for a while. Then one time, when I pick it up to take a vape, it ramps up to 700 Deg F and burns the vape. I can move the atomizer to the Wismec Reuleaux RX200 and it works just fine in temp control. On the DNA200 I set one of the 8 spots to SS 316L using 0.001 as it will not let me use 0.0092, which I have set on my RX200 and my Evic VTC Mini. I have tried this in my Uwell crown, TFV4, TFV4 Mini, and the Griffin. The same thing happens on all these tanks. I also have an Evic VTC Mini and it works just fine on that mod as well. All my coils are around 6 to 8 wraps not touching, and I do not preheat them. Anyone have any idea as to what might be wrong? This has been an on going problem for ever. Only with SS316L 26 gauge wire. Thanks in advance I can post screen shots of when it works and when it fails, if that would help any of you.
  3. Hey Bob, Got my unit today. Did the test and my hCigar VT200 Mod Resistance is: 0.004 It is what I had guessed at, but now I know for sure. It worked perfectly with no fluctuation at all. Thanks again Bob. Oh, your shipper correct my address so it was correct on the shipping label. Go figure
  4. If it were me, I'd do the following: 1. Wait for the new VS. or 2. Get the Wismec DNA 200 or 3. Give it 1 more shot and get the same manufacturing date VS. Talk to the store owner and ask for his opinion. He can tell you if the VS mod has had problems as well as the Wismec DNA 200. Let him help you make the decision with you. Just my thoughts
  5. Johan, you have really good points. I didn't know that about him. I'm sure glad you responded with that info. I will watch him more closely from now on. If he isn't going to be honest, then he can't be trusted. Thanks again for letting me know this.
  6. I think you can trust DJLsb Vapes. He seems to be a great reviewer and I've downloaded many things from him without any problems. I agree that the 0.022 is high. I would just recommend testing your device to insure you get the correct one for your mod. I wonder if he got that when he tested his VT200 or he got it straight from hCigar.
  7. I will be checking my resistance when Bob's adapter arrives. I just purchased one to do the testing. Thank you all for you concern and help determining any issues I may be having. I'll let you all know once I do all the test and set the mod up properly. I think it is pretty sad that hCigar doesn't take the time to set up their mods before they ship them. That is a big negative in my book. Spirometry. You just might be right. It all looked correct on the mod display. mactavish. When my mod reaches the temp I set it at, it starts to stop firing. But this doesn't happen every time. If it is flashing"Temp Protect", sometime it won't even fire when I hit the fire button. I have to do the final tests and set the mod correctly to be sure. So until then, I will just fight my way through dc601. When i changed the watts to 30, the temp does go up, but the vapor is to harsh for me. So I lowered the temp from 350F to 300F. Save vape, and it never give me the "Temp Protect" message.
  8. HugeEgo, I am vaping at 350F but it only goes to 250F. On my 3rd juice fill on this coil and it goes up to around 280F. I'm using the RBA section with an NI200 28 guage 6 wrap coil I made. You can give me all your technical reason why I shouldn't be getting any vapor, but I'm getting great vapor. My juice is 60%VG - 40%PG. It is a very stable coil and never sets off the Temp warning on my mod. I made this post to get assistance on my Escribe software, not for you to tell me I'm not getting any vapor. I'm getting lots of nice cool vapor, just like I like it. I'm not going to take a video and post it of the vapor production I'm getting just for YOU. Please just drop it.
  9. HugeEgo, it is a very cool vape with tons of vapor. That is what I like. I can't stand hot vapes. And it says Fahrenheit on the screenshot, so Yeah... Fahrenheit lol nismith8 , it's all good. Thanks for trying anyway I do appreciate all the help. And the Uwell Crown with NI200 is my favorite tank. Ordered some SS 316L to try. I'm hoping that will be even better.
  10. Thanks nismith8 . I'll give it a shot. OK set the temp in Device Monitor to 600 deg F, took two hits and set it back to 350 deg F and still no Actual temp while vaping. Hmmmmm ******************** UPDATE: ******************** I set up a profile for the Kanger SubTank Mini, uploaded it to my mod, and selected this profile. Ran the test again and it worked. Go figure. All the setting were the exact same. It is Working Perfectly NOW lol See Screenshot.
  11. Hi. As the screenshot shows, I take 2 hits of my hCigar VT200 running a Kanger SubTank Mini with a 0.21 ohm NI200 coil. The mods works great with this tank, but when I check it out with Device Monitor I get no temp readings while firing. I've tried 3 other tanks with the same results. Any ideas why this is happening to me? thank you in advance.
  12. Thanks VapingBad. I replace the coil and see if it stops. Thanks UPDATE: I changed the coil and it is now working fine. The screws were not as tight as they were when I made the coil but they seemed to be still making a good connection. But after changing the coil and having no problem, there must have been a loose connection. Thanks again VapingBad.
  13. I'm using the hCigar VT200. I have a 0.08 ohm NI200 coil in an Steam Crave Aromamizer tank using my own coil in the RBA section. Watts are set to 27.3 and the temp is set to 420 degrees. As you can see in the graph, I take 1 hit and everything is perfect. When I take the 2nd hit, the coil doesn't fire and Evolv software says my coil is at 800 degrees. So I have to wait a while till I can take another hit. Does anyone have any idea on how I can fix this? Thanks in advance
  14. Awesome thanks Lilpetabread. Most appreciated.
  15. Jaquith, are the numbers I posted correct or not? Or at least close? I was just trying to help RonS is all. Sorry if I selected information from someone you dislike. And YOU mentioned his name, not me. lol - I just gave the source of my information for verification purposes.
  16. I just went to the "hCigar VT200" facebook page. It was created by: Alan Galloway created the group.November 11 Unless you have a different facebook page, the only reference to serial numbers was from 1 guy, not working at hCigar that gave the serial number 5000. Anyway, as long as our VT200's work is all that matters. hCigar isn't going to give us a new mod just because of the center pin (I wish they would lol).
  17. This information I got from Pegasus Vapor Academy. They explain about Mah ratings and how the higher the Mah rating, the lower Amp that battery is. Check it out for yourself. http://www.pegasusvaporacademy.com/ Remember, these are listed as "A" Bin rated batteries. So you are saying you have batteries that are 3100MAH 40A? No way my friend. You will be lucky if they can pull 15 amps continuous. Please be very careful. You could use them over and over again without any problems, but all it takes is one time for you to get hurt. Don't take those kind of chances. Batteries can be dangerous and we all have to respect them and use them properly. 18. DJLsb says: "(ATTENTION, if your S/N is less then 7109 please change the Battery Capacity to 11,87)" This also means you don't have a gold plated center pin. That 5000 serial number is what I'm questioning. My serial number is 6875 and when I changed my battery capacity to 11.87, my meter on my hCigar VT200 is now accurate. Are you sure that hCigar told you this? or maybe someone who says they talked to hCigar. Reason I am saying this is that DJLsb talks to hCigar a lot. They would tell him the truth if they don't want their mod to be bashed by him. Let me know what you think Lilpetabread. Thanks.
  19. I thought mine died when the ohms started jumping all over the place. I had it on ohm lock too. When I connected it to Escribe software it didn't read properly. I did a hard reboot and that fixed the problem. Guess it was just a glitch because it is working perfectly again. Go figure
  20. Thanks augtism. I also use 1 of the profiles for this tank. But that only sets the Wattage, Temp, and coil material, which I use the NI200 supplied profile with the Evolv escribe software since I'm using NI200 wire. I'm using Temco 28 GA Pure Nickel Annealed NI200 Round Wire. So the setting in the escribe software should be perfect.
  21. I have an HCigar VT200 running a Uwell Crown tank with the RBA section using 28g NI200 wire at 4 wraps on a 3/32 drill bit. It tested at 0.10 ohms on the VT200. I locked the ohms at 0.10 and took a hit. It now reads 0.14. Next time I take a hit it reads 0.13. It reads anywhere from 0.10 to 0.14 with the ohms locked. Is there something wrong with my device? This never happened before. Received it on 10/29/2015 so I've been using it for 6 weeks. UPDATE: I did a hard reboot and not it is working again.
  22. Wow, sorry to hear that Gearbest is giving you so much grief. I just made my 1st purchase from Gearbest.... 3 drip tips. I always use PayPal. That way if something happens, PayPal will assist you and at least get your money back very quickly. Fasttech has been very good to me. I purchased a Vamo a few years back. It died 60 days after I had it. Fasttech has a 45 day warranted. I sent them an email, and they replaced the device .. no questions asked. Now that is good customer service IMO. From what I'm hearing from all of the Hcigar VT200 users, there are quite a few that are having problems with their devices. We just can't win
  23. Interesting topic. I have an Hcigar VT200 and use NI200 exclusively. I have had no problems at all. 0.13 Ohm NI200 coil (built myself) on a Uwell Crown tank at 400 degrees at 20 Watts. Works every time without any problems. Also have used a Kanger mini, Smok TFV4 (5 mil), and a new Steam Crave Aromamizer with not one problem at all using NI200. No pre-built coils, I build my own. For me, pre-built low ohm kanthal heads are just way to hot of a vape for me. I have not tried a pre-build NI200 coil as of yet. I sure hope that there isn't a flaw in either the VT200 or the DNA200. Anyway, just my 2-cents.
  24. Well davemaxx, I have an Hcigar VT200. Authorized vendor I suppose, since Evolv sold them their boards. My mod was not set up at all. Had to test it myself and set it up.
  25. The only limit I have on wattage is the ramp up wattage. I have it set to 100 watts. That is all. Hope that helps.
