1. I have some on order myself, will work out a viable TCR and go from there. I'll post my results to see how they compare.
2. Actually it seems to be an alloy of the 2 elements. At what ratio is unknown to me- my only experience w/any similar alloy is the Marchon Flexon eyeglass frames I bought several years ago. They were the "memory metal" that was hyped by the manufacturers. Link to the wire HERE.
3. Anyone have experience w/this wire? Pro's, con's, TCR?
4. The mod case would be used as a ground path. Assuming identical mods other than cast vs. milled (assume 'milled' means billet), both having proper connections, correct gauge wire etc. and all else being equal between the two examples, is there any validity to:
5. "Evolv Experience™ 20W DNA Microchip"? wtf? Guess I need to get out more often. haha
6. Have you tried using slightly spaced coils? Some wires do better that way- I personally haven't used those wires but it's something to consider.
7. I guess it's a matter of cost vs. demand, but I hear what you're saying. I'm guessing you do have the puff count displayed on the screen.. Me, I'm a "time" person- I would like to have the screen display cumulative vape/fire button 'on' time ("last puff" time is the only option, it's useless to me) w/o having to go into escribe, and for it to also be resettable from the mod. I use this on other mods and it is one way to see if there's anything unusual going on, like if the battery is discharged before I know it should be, and for how changing settings effect battery run time. That said, I'm thinking you and I must be in the minority! haha
8. Until the experts reply, I don't believe you can reset from the mod. You may well already be aware of this, but you can reset by going into the Device Monitor and selecting "Reset Statistics", though. This resets all the fields, including the puff counter.
9. Using a SMY SDNA 75 and liking it very much. Want to know how to check what firmware version I'm running. Thanks in advance.
10. Be sure the cable has data link and is not just for charging. Paraphrasing:
11. I'd guess you are, but always use the sleeve that centers the 18650 battery in the battery tube.
12. I'm not seeing a 'service menu' nor a 'screen disconnect' field anywhere- is this from an older version of escribe? I'm using escribe software version 1.2 SP3 w/the latest SNY SDNA mod firmware. Is there a screen disconnect field, and if so how to access it.
13. The coil wire is mixed tc/non tc and while the values can be estimated using something like wire wizard, I want to fine tune using a cotton test.
14. Okay, thanks. I just went into Device Monitor and have some different looking values on the left side- is this related to me trying to see what the "Screen Disconnect" value was? ETA Pls disregard- I closed/reopened escribe and all's well.
15. Elsewhere I read a (rather old) post by Jaquith that said in part: Is this still what is used to check/dial in the TCR? BTW, I’m using an SDNA 75 so max watts would be 75w.
16. Thanks, CB200. I have been doing just what you suggested. But like I said, no big deal- just wanted to make sure I hadn't overlooked something.
17. With some settings/builds the amp and watt traces and sometimes voltage are so close together that the numbers are overlaid atop one another. Is there a way to expand the y-axis of the graph (or other workaround)? Not a huge deal, just wondering.
18. Well, I'm glad I came here and asked- no idea where I picked up the outdated app, but am now up to speed w/version 1.2 SP3. And I lost no previously saved profile data in the process. Life is good...
19. @Vaping Bad- Below is what I see regarding the 'Options" dropdown. This is version 1.0.56 / 2016-05-02. Again- everything appears to be working fine, just wondering if the difference is due to the "cleaning up" that was done to the app?
20. Okay, got that- thanks. But when I click on “Get Information”, the mod is still listed as a 200. No big deal, as long as it interfaces as it should w/escribe- which it seems to- it's just an oddity is all. And I appreciate the help.
21. @Vaping bad- Does that apply to the DNA75, because I'm not seeing that box...
