  1. Obviously, but if you have a inaccurate csv then you could be prematurely charging your batteries under the impression that they're lower than they really are. Or vice versa. I don't even bother with csv anymore personally. I just set my boards to show pack voltage.
  2. Hey guys. I have a 26650 vt75c. The battery meter on this mod is driving me nuts. I put in a fully charged new high quality 26650 and it will never read 100 percent. Even though I know the charge levels and they're 4.2-4.18 and I have the CSV set to read 4.18 as 100%... It will read in diagnostics directly on the board as like 4.15.. Then 6 puffs later I am already down to the 80 percent range where it will hang for a while. Overall the battery life is not a complaint but I'm going nuts trying to get this damn thing to read hallway accurately. I am OCD about this stuff I admit, but something funky going on here. I know this mod has a very bad rep as a damn pipe bomb, though I've fixed the issue myself with a home made insulator so no worries on that particular issue getting me hurt. Another thing I notice is that the screen will say a certain level, such as 3.77 and 75% but as soon as I plug it into escribe it will show a much higher level and percent until the moment I unplug the USB. Thing is, if I take the battery out right away and read it externally the higher reading that escribe showed is the correct reading. So I'm getting a ton of voltage drop. I know this board isn't as efficient as the others but nearly a 10% voltage drop just doesn't seem right either.. I'm open for any suggestions you all may have for me. Personally I'm wondering if there isn't some sorry ass soldering issues behind this and might just tear the mod down and rewire if no one has any other suggestions. Thanks Pictures are taken seconds apart. Mod screen showing low, escribe high
I really like this theme. It truly packs a lot of info but is not complicated to navigate. The home screen is kept simple enough and i like that about it as well. used it on my therion and vt75c with no issues. Been using it over a month now. Ive tried other themes but seem to come back to this one after the newness wears off. Good job making it.
  3. They are. But there's a lot of very experienced guys that browse the forums trying to help people and uncover unknown issues. They'll usually help first and if it happens to be above their level it'll get the attention of Brandon or another evolv programmer. I'm hoping that the battery drain issue is more of a Csv file problem than software. I'm gonna put in a fresh set of batteries shortly and run them tonight . I'll know for sure after that. I was looking at the standard CSV and it seemed very conservative so hopefully I'm right. As for your battery charging issue my knowledge is very limited because I have always been an external charger unless I get caught on the road without. I do know that the cycle for the internal charger can take a while for the light to turn green and show a true 100. I'm not sure how familiar you are with batteries but they don't always hold 4.2v after charge. Most of mine will charge to 4.2 then sit at 4.19 or 4.18. so it could be the case where those cells just don't quite reach true 4.2 and the CSV file will read that at 99% . The charging symbol and light should disappear along with the USB voltage draw as long as they are set to do so. I have no idea what charge status settings are for this mod. A good way to find out what's going on is to plug into escribe and go to device monitor panel then watch and record the final moments of a charge cycle. You can post that recording on the forums and the guys can diagnose the situation much better with that info.
  4. I sent you the CSV from my standard therion to try. Used it forever and had no issues. I just installed it on the 75c but seemed to help instantly. Set Soft cell to 2.90 for this one.
  5. Yes since it's a parallel battery config, it will run on only 1 cell. That is normal. The rate of battery consumption is the only issue I have with the mod. I charge externally and with both cells coming off the charger at 4.17-4.18 , my mod reads that at 98%.
  6. I am also having this exact issue. This mod is gobbling up batteries like it's at an all you can eat buffet. I even installed the new battery curve and mod resistance package that is posted in the forums by a member whom I can't recall the name of just now. Nothing different. It will start out reading 99 or 98 but by the time you take 10 hits it is down to 89. It seems to ride in the 80-70 range for a decent amount of time but there's no way this mod should be draining battery this fast. My regular 75 therion will sit in the 90 range forever before dropping accordingly. Something wrong here for sure. I vape fused ni80, usually .3-.4 at only 40w btw.
  7. Yeah I'm gonna do exactly that. Really appreciate you taking time this evening to help. I'll update this when the cause / solution are worked out.
  8. No! That's the main reason why I wrote this thread lol ... got me stumped. The device will not normally fire while plugged in to a USB wether it be connecting to escribe or just a wall charger. One time out of 30 it might actually fire and not say check battery. I did notice the cell 3 fluctuate while fire. Went from 1.8 to 1.2 and everywhere in between.. Thank you for your help so far btw, greatly appreciated. If you need better quality images I can get screenshots off the computer I just have to log in evolv forums and I was being a little lazy earlier I guess with the phone pics.
  9. The sharp drop line is when fire is pushed momentarily
  10. Yeah I believe so. If I had accidentally switched the taps that are supposed to go to positive battery end over to the negative end then I would think that would cause the board to not operate. No? The mod runs great. It's just seeing the cell 3 have that high of voltage and the non firing when USB plugged in. Other than that no issues at all...
  11. Hey I've made a few dna mods and have a little experience. However , this dual 18650 build I just did with the new 250 board is giving me a little resistance. When I plug the USB in and go to device monitor panel my cell #3 reading seems very high at 1.79v. Now the total in the battery pack column only includes the value of cells 1&2 but last time I checked I thought 1.2-1.5 was where evolv wanted the 3rd cell to be (or under that). The second thing is that if I push the fire button with the USB in; I will get a check battery or wreak battery window and it will not fire. Is this something evolv did as a safety feature for the 2amp protection or is something funky going on? Thanks!
  12. When that happened to me it was 2 things. First I didn't have a great connection on my sled. My first time soldering and the work was rough. Once I redid that it was still doing the flash so I tore it down and inspected every single connection. Come to find out one of the pins on the balance tap that solders to the board had broken connection at the board joint. Once that was re soldered it worked great. Good luck.
  13. Jurdanas - I changed mine from 5x to 7x and it has worked as well. Fixed both mods. Thank you for your solution. Obviously bad button but I don't want to send in for repair lol!
  14. Please let me know If that fixes it jurdanas. Thanks
  15. Hey guys, need some help here please. I have 2 mods that are acting funky. One is a boxer style dual 18650 i made myself and the other is the vapor shark. Both dna200 boards. What happens is that while I vape the board will automatically go into locked mode. I can click it out again but it will keep doing it. Sometimes il get 10 hits and sometimes it'll lock during every 2 or 3 hits. I also notice the ramp acting funny and laggy when it's about to act up also changing the wattage will be laggy and slow. The fact that it's acting the exact same on 2 different mods is making me hopeful that maybe there's something that can be done to fix it without sending them in. I've tried tons of tanks and does this with all. They're both still under warranty but I'd much rather not part with them lol. I'm thinking it's software glitch related or something I have not done. I haven't had these issues with any of my other dna200 mods. Thank you for your help!
  16. Very nice. Thanks for sharing your setup versions. My dual boxer and triple reuleaux both run amazingly accurate and im getting ready to build 2 more dna mods in g plus cases. Battery meter issues seems to be one of the more common issues people are having so I like to see different perspectives on setup.
  17. I notice your soft cutoff at 2.5v . I have 2 questions. I had built a dual 18650dna a little while back and my batteries sagged a low enough to trip the weak battery at 70 percent charge so I set my soft cut to 2.9 and it seems to be prefect now but when I was researching the soft cuti was told by a few people that escribe won't recognize anything lower than 2.8v. Even though you can input a lower value. So have you watched the batteries sag on the escribe monitor to this 2.5 setting when you get a weak battery notification and know it does recognize that 2.5 as a valid setting? I am great at 2.9,just curious is all. Second question is with your settings, what is the resting voltage of your batteries when you get the weak battery notification? Thanks
  18. Have you plugged into escribe and watched the stats on the monitor panel while this happened? I'm wondering if you are getting good connection on all 3 cells. There have been some units that are having connection problems because the plastic ring is a little high or the batteries are a little old and worn.
  19. You have to find the right soft cutoff for your particular batteries so that when it is tripped your batteries are at the resting voltage you desire. I used a set of 30q batteries worth wismec factory cutoff of 2.8. My batteries were around 3.2 when I removed them for external charging and the soft cutoff had still no tripped and displayed wEak battery yet. So I upped my cutoff to 3.0v and I'm going to see how that plays out. It's a bit of work but I want my meter to be accurate for the 3000mah cells and a little bit of tweaking isn't a huge issue. I want my cells around 3.4 resting voltage and I'll post the cutoff and watt hour input once I get it dialed in tight.
  20. Looks like you just did math to get this discharge curve? Did you go look at an entire discharge test on battery bro, kidney punch or any of the battery test sites? They don't usually seem to discharge in such a straight line and 10.8 doesn't sound right for voltage o think it should be 11.1. I could be way off here but I'm trying to help someone input the curve for these same batteries and your info just isn't looking quite right compared to other discharge curves I've seen. Like I said, I could way wrong and this is perfect.
  21. I'm not getting a great vape from my reuleaux using 24ga ss 316L at dual coil reading .200 . Seems to hit 470 very quick and not warm up with sub par vapor production. .but when I put it on my boxer dna200 it just rips. Now both mods rip using standard non temp control mode, only having the issues while using it as temp . Using the tcr generated from steam engine on both mods. What are your stats for running stainless or are you just in wattage mode, not temp?
  22. What is the purpose of this input? I have 2 dna mods. The reuleaux and a boxer type dual 18650 that I built myself. My reuleaux hits temp way faster without making nearly the same vapor and overall doesn't hit as hard with the exact same csv file for stainless 316l wire. Using a 24ga dual coil. 10 wrap on 2.4mm for about .210 ohms. In my cthulhu v2 rta . Boxer style performs like a champ so I'm going through trouble shooting mode now to see what is causing the major difference.
