  1. Does anyone have a discharge profile for dual LG 18650 HG2 with 3000 mAh and would like to share?

For now I've used the discharge graph for the HE2 and set 44.4 Wh (6 Ah * 7.4).

PS: Also thanks for the info in this thread! I was able to complete my first DNA 200 dual 18650 build - everything works perfectly!

  2. I would absolutely love this feature. I want to experiment more with temperature to find a sweet spot but as it is I'm often too lazy to play around with it. Please add it soon - it's the one feature I'm really missing from the amazing DNA 200! :)

The somewhat "religious war" around the question if we vape temperature controlled or temperature limited is a little bit amusing :) I think one reason why some people like "TL" and set watts low is to create a slowly heating vape. Me I just want full on vapor instantly. But if you set wattage low then you also have to disable pre-heat? Else I don't see how it makes a big difference since the pre heat boosts the watts anyways to reach temperature asap.

I'd love if someone who prefers this TL style would post two screenshots of the vaping / temperature / power graph of the device monitor. I'm genuinely curious!

BTW I think temp control makes vaping actually easier to set up for grandmas. Just set to 420°F and done.

  3. EDIT: Sorry apparently it works after all. You just have to set the profile to TC ON by default! Please disregard :)

There are some concerns expressed here about using stainless steel with the DNA200. The main concern is that the low TCR of the 317L stainless steel wire causes the DNA200 to sometimes drop out of TC mode. Which is of course terrible because of the uncertainty. Dry hit roulette. It might also be related to the temp control overshooting because of the low TCR.

Could you add an option to lock the mod in TC mode? Maybe for a profile?

I'm looking forward to receiving my DNA200 mod mostly because I want to try stainless steel. Nickel is to low resistance and soft, titanium is too springy and titanium oxide, dicodes / nife30 is only available as 29GA.

Stainless steel wire has been used quite a bit already and sounds like a good and healthy alternative. People also say it tastes very clean.

Please do everything to support more wire choices! Thank you.

  4. I'd love a DNA50 or 60 with escribe and single cell option as well. I bet it will come eventually.

@BobC I think the main reason and advantage to 200 watt is faster heat up time. When you use thicker or twisted or clapton wire you have a long heatup time at something like 40 watt. Think 24 GA wire. Some probably like the "slowly increasing vape" I think but I like my vape instant. So that is where the 200 watt reserve come in. So even if you vape at a sustained 40 watt it's useful. My theory is that most people who vape at insanely high watts are only using the "heatup" part of the vape and in reality can't really vape these high watts either. But that is just a guess.

  5. So you are saying 1 should be on the positive and 2/3 should be on the bridge?

Yes that's what I understand is the correct way. But I haven't done it either. Oh well.

Maybe someone else can comment on the wiring.

Or maybe it's the wrong way around? (wrong polarity?)
  6. The datasheet mentions such a board:

    http://www.evolvapor.com/DNA200/DNA%20200%20data%20sheet.pdf

If you are manufacturing a device that is designed to be used with three individual replaceable 18650 cells, an accessory board is available from Evolv to adapt from three individual cells to a pack and tap connector pinout, as well as provide cell-by-cell protection against incorrectly installed or reversed cells.

  7. I REALLY want this option. It's basically variable temperature instead of variable watts.

I just set my power to max and change temp only. But clicking five times, holding up down awkwardly, adjusting and then clicking five times again is absurdly complicated. I would play around with temperature far more often if it was easier. I really hope this is added to escribe as an option.
