  1. whats up! i just commissioned a newly built dna 133 mod. new chip sent from evolv. im using temp control ss 316l set to temp dominate in escribe. weird thing is if the mod has been sitting upon pressing the fire button the first time it quickly displays "off" then the entire screen fills with what looks like random numbers for a split second. it fills the whole screen ie: 44582 as an example. then as fast as it shows all these numbers the regular display returns and the temp starts to climb to its set integer. if i hit it again or even a few time shortly after the first press it doesnt do it, but if the mod fully cools and i hit the fire button it does this almost every time. im not sure if it matters but here is what i have the setting at: ss316l 3mm id 7 wrap contact coils, fused claptons 26/38 i have the ohms manually locked in at 0.142 preheat 5 1 sec 80 watts running wattage set to 80 i just got the box. builder didnt set the mod resistance so i set it manually to 0.01 i bumped it up by 0.001 intervals watching the device manager until the temp line was hugging the set temp line. at 0 it was spiking really high, then dropping really low n repeating. the closer i got to 0.01 the flatter it got. i did this until it looked familiar based on my old dna 133 device i had and used for 8 months until it died. im not sure if it matters but considering he didnt set the mod resistance im doubtful he ran the case analyzer. im not really sure what the benefit of running the analyzer is but i plan to do it, just havent yet. not sure if that would have anything to do with my display bugging out like i described, but i kinda doubt its anything to do with it. i will say my last dna 133 did this same thing but only after one of the square inductors fell off. i didnt use it but a couple times after it fell off but it would still fire.i noticed the disply doing the same thing the couple times i fired the mod without the piece. maybe it was doing it before but i dont remember seeing it. another thing ill mention is i was using 28/38 fused claptons ss316l but spaced coils for a long time. i never saw the mod read "off" when firing using those. since switching over to these 26/38 contact coils ive had to lower my set temp from 380-420f i used with the spaced to 240-280f on these bigger contact coils. its only started reading "off" for a split second since switching to these bigger coils. its not a perceivable delay in ramp up and in the device monitor its a nice flat consistent line on my set temp, its just set lower to feel the same. if i tried vaping these bigger coils at 400f itd burn my face off.
  2. i dont think so. im pretty heavy ocd about liquis being anywhere but inside the tank/rda. plus its been like that since day one. 6ish months ago....
  3. yeah, im not concerned that itsa problem or anything. ive been using this with 316l since i got it in tc with the 18650's and at this point id say its flawless. just kind of odd that another duo owner has zero on the third cell reading, which is what id expect considering its a 2 cell configuration. kind of odd as well is when i highlight that third cell in the device monitor its reading does drop as i hit the mod so its in the loop somehow. ?
  4. hey gang!! ive got a curious issue i could use some enlightenment on. my efusion duo reads 1.24v in the third cell even tho its in 18650 mode. ive got it set to 2 cell, lithium polymer. those and the watt hours are the only settings ive touched. its been like that since i bought it 6 months ago or so. it doesnt seem to affect its performance. it was brought to my attention in a facebook group by another duo owner who was curious why my third cell had a reading. i thought it was normal, but his duo doesnt show a reading in device monitor there like mine does. whats the reason for mine showing the reading??
  5. whats up dna gang! ive got a quick question; when using the preheat is it limited to what the running wattage is set to in tc? if i have preheat set to 150 and the running wattage set to 100 does the preheat go up to 150watts or is it limited to the running wattage set at 100?
  6. very nice. thats a significant improvement. after installing the update i fired up the device monitor n was pleased with how much smoother my 316l was, but i was getting what i thought was a twinge of dry-ish hit as i was "testing." i thought "thats weird, it looks very much more stable on the graph??" .....my tank had runith dry. : ) feeling like maybe trying out some ss316l fused claptons again after giving up on a set of 26/38's i put in when i first got the dna200. the increased stability on these simple spaced coils is promising.
  7. thanks craig. i see in the description it updates the escribe software, does it also make changes on the board in my mod that allows it to work better in tc?
  8. hey gang, sorry for the needed explanation, but how and where do i get this new improved firmware n put it on my efusion duo? does this update only affect the ss tc? i mean ive never done a firmware update, ive only had this, my first dna200, for a few weeks. im still learning. i do use ss316l in tc exclusively so i would love to get this update. thanks in advance for the help!!!
  9. im pretty new to the dna200. will this firmware update just automatically install once its released and i hook my mod up to escribe? im excited at the prospect of better performance using 316l in tc. im pretty happy with where ive got it but better is better!
  10. whats curves are these in reference to? battery or tcr? ive tried loading the csv you linked here and get an error stating the csv file must have at least two columns and two rows....
  11. when i got my duo one of the cf panels was put on crooked. i was able to use a pointy razor blade and a lot of patience to slowly and carefully remove the cf panel without damaging it. then reinstalled using some 3m mounting tape typically used for cell phone/tablet screen repairs. i very much doubt removing any of the other panel types would be possible without damage.
