I am using 05/02/2016 DNA 75 software. It opens but you can do nothing in it. I know how to opperate it as I have it installed on my laptop and it works correctly
I dont know the date of that latest Escribe, all I know is the version is 1.0.56 -
Try running the USBRemove tool from Evolv. No promises but it is worth a try. Then it will reinstall the USB driver on next connect.

The latest version of EScribe that works with BOTH the DNA200 and the DNA75 is
However, make sure you are not running the DNA200 2016-04-25 firmware (which was beta FW). If you are then please roll back to the 2016-02-23 firmware.
The most recent "released" version of DNA200 FW you that you should run is 2016-02-23 -
From another, potentially related, post:
mikepetro said:There was only 1 version that included a FW update for the DNA200, that was version 1.0.49 (dated 4/25/16) and it accidentally got leaked here (then pulled). It was intended for "beta testers" only.
There is NOT any "release version" of new DNA200 FW at the time of this posting.
If you ever installed 1.0.49 (dated 4/25/16) then the FW will still be in your folder, even though you have upgraded to 1.0.56 or whatever.
The newer versions dont include DNA200 FW, but they dont delete the old ones either.
If you run this 1.0.49 FW (dated 4/25/16) and your DNA200 dies, dont say you weren't warned!!!!
If you are running it, I would recommend rolling back to a previous version! -

I dont know, I dont burn kanthal, only TI.

Dunno, perhaps someone else has an idea.
-
Extremely doubtful.

If you use "Released" SW/FW you are safe.
This German site you used should never have posted beta SW. -
Nope, not missing anything. Unless..... you physically puncture the battery.

I already did. What happened with you?
I will not speak any more on this. I am under NDA with Evolv because I am on their Beta team.
I gave the warning to help you out, heed it or dont. But I will say no more. -

Hey! So I'm gunna be running a Turnigy 2200mAh 40C lipo to power my DNA 200 and wanted to know if it will be safe even if one of my friends decides to fire it up to 200W... Is firing on max wattage with a low resistance coil a cause for concern with such a battery?
Not a concern, the board will protect itself against over current/voltage etc. It is rated to handle the full 200w.... -

What was it about the 4-25 update that was dangerous to the mod? I got a dead battery bar indicator with a full charge which a soft reboot fixed, then came here and saw all the talk about it bricking DNA's. What is going on with it?
Dont know what the root cause is, just told you my own experience and what has been reported elsewhere.
My recommendation is to roll back to 2-23-16. Instructions have been posted several times. -

So when I connect my DNA 200 to eScribe, I don't get anything saying that there is a new firmware available. Does this mean mine came with the newest firmware?
It means it came with the latest FW known by the version of Escribe you are using. If you have the latest Escribe, then you also have the latest FW if it isnt prompting you. -

So I just got my efusion duo, first dna200 mod. Bout to update escribe to the latest version 1.0.42 because it's an auto-update. I'm not going to destroy my mod once I plug it in and auto-upgrade its firmware right?
No, You should be fine. -
I personally am going to keep an eye on this organization. They have legal teams who will be better poised to give us direction.

"Today, CASAA, SFATA, AEMSA, AVA and NBS have formally announced their coalition to pursue legal and legislative strategies now that the FDAâs final deeming regulations have been released." -

So unless I get this wrong if the boards and other parts are certified/licensed/whatever you could make mods, but not sell them, how about giving them away?
Laguz75 said:Giving them away.......that could work and charge $100 for shipping

Does this site have a "PLONK" button?

Black Lace, it obvious you have not read the regulations or the various summaries on it. Please read that actual new law before challenging us further.

Am i missing a few threads on this or has someone misenterpreted mom&par as a manufacture and likend term of frase to themselves.
From the FDA website:
"If you operate a vape shop that mixes or prepares liquid nicotine or nicotine-containing e-liquids, or creates or modifies any type of ENDS, you are considered a manufacturer"
The green part means Mom and Pop shop that mix ejuice.
The purple part means Modders, anyone who creates a Mod and sells it. -

I rolled 3 of mine back within a couple of hours but I used the 2016-02-29 EScribe to do it.
mikepetro did you do yours with the beta EScribe?
I rolled mine back with v1.0.55 which I think may have been beta only. -
