Hey James, or anyone else that may be able to provide some info or insight. I'm new to macOS, but recently picked up my M5 Pro MBP  running macOS golden gate (27.0.1) & regardless of the tutorial or directions I follow, the suite won't actually open. Its fully installed, and installed correctly, it just won't launch without instantly crashing. I'm just assuming its a compatibility thing because Golden Gate is so new this moment, also I think the most recent SP was released before this os so that would make sense.

If I'm missing something obvious, anyone is welcome to chime in & correct me on what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks!

DISREGARD!

Absolutely, 100% me just not understanding macOS. SP77 interfaces just fine with Golden Gate on newest Apple silicon. Gotta say, its pretty funny knowing how powerful this M5 Pro is, and seeing how slow Escribe processes actions. I'm just happy everything works & I can continue my work on my DNA One theme!

How to Install Rosetta 2 on Your Mac and Get EScribe Working Again

Press the keyboard shortcut Cmd + Space, type Terminal into the search field, and press Enter.

  1. Paste the following command into the Terminal window and press Enter:

    softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license

  2. Wait until the installation process is complete. How long this takes depends on your internet connection.

  3. Check the message displayed after the process is complete. If no error message appears, Rosetta 2 is ready to use.

  4. Close Terminal and reopen the Intel-based app. It should now launch without any further prompts.

After restarting your Mac, EScribe works again too! 😉
