Neon Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 I always experience the "batt" indicator even though I have tried many new batteries, when the battery indicator is at 4 or 3 bar, the "batt" notification always appears and interferes with the mod's performance
dwcraig1 Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 If it's under warranty try to return to place of purchase. Here is where I would be looking for the problem. These two screws connect the battery to the board (red arrows). Check to make sure that they are tight. Bottom left screw is battery positive connection and upper right screw is the negative battery connection and ground for the output. Also under the battery compartment there is a metal strip used to connect the battery negative to the board, it has a screw on each end. make sure those are tight as well.
Neon Posted Monday at 04:43 AM Author Report Posted Monday at 04:43 AM Unfortunately, my chip is no longer under warranty. Okay, so one of the causes is loose screws. Could it also be because the battery is touching a certain part? Or can it be fixed by escribe?
dwcraig1 Posted Monday at 07:23 AM Report Posted Monday at 07:23 AM It could be that the battery isn't tight enough against the battery contacts on the mod, Is the battery wheel bottomed out in it's threads?
Neon Posted Monday at 07:29 AM Author Report Posted Monday at 07:29 AM Yes, I installed the battery correctly, but I'm experiencing similar issues with the Penon mod with a 60C DNA chip. Could it be due to the chip's inaccuracy against the body, or is it a problem with the 60C DNA chip before writing this?
dwcraig1 Posted Monday at 08:12 AM Report Posted Monday at 08:12 AM The power (amps) isn't getting to the board. Could be weak battery or a bad connection between battery and board (most likely) Using EScribe's Device Monitor with the boxes checked like in my image test yours to see how much of a voltage drop that you get. In my example it is 3.26 volts. If it were to drop to below 2.75 volts (default setting) it would decrease power accordingly. Hover your mouse over your Device Monitor to show levels. Post it here afterwards. My guess is that yours will drop below the set cutoff.
