Jason-coil-and-tin
Need help sizing 40w resistor I could use more information like how many K (eg. 30k-80k??) or a link to one at Amazon thank you in advance
awsum140
If this is for a load resistor to run a battery analysis, you sure don't want one in the K ohm range. More like .5 or 1 ohm will do the trick. If you are doing a battery analyzer test, I'd also suggest more than 40 watts. If you run the test at 40 watts that 40 watt resistor will get extremely hot. Jason-coil-and-tin
Yes it's for a battery analysis test so I orders 2 - 1 ohm 50 watt as seen on another set up on u tube i will wire to parallel I have nothing for a cooling plate but I have a fan what would you suggest for a test wattage setting in open air
Jason-coil-and-tin
K so I don't know of any one doing this but I am going too. I am making a battery pack (don't worry not my first time: and I will be using A external balancing charger) but have never made one for a DNA 250 and need to sync the discharge profile to the pack so it runs properly
awsum140
You should be fine at 50 watts. That will reflect actual battery capacity and keep your resistors from getting too hot. Just to be safe, make sure they are on a heat resistant surface.
