Check battery error on think Vape Finder 167

I have a b brand new not even two days old Think Vape Finder 167. I was adjusting the profiles in escribe and when I disconnected the USB and went to fire a check battery error came UP. When I release the fire button the screen goes black. So first I tried a brand new set of batteries I had on the charger and got nothing. Next  I tried to reset to default settings in escribe and still got the same problem. When I went to device monitor cell 1 has 0.00v and cell two has 5.19v. Is this something someone can help me fix or do I need to look at returning it? Any help would be appreciated.
