Cehpalomods Posted July 12, 2015 Author Report Posted July 12, 2015 Hi ya'll!I was curious as to why the wires used on the battery have a maximum of 16 gauge. It seems like theoretically anything lower than 20 gauge should work.wondering if there's something I'm not taking into account.
Cehpalomods Posted July 12, 2015 Author Report Posted July 12, 2015 Sorry, I think I didn't phrase that right.I mean why can't I use 14 gauge or 12 gauge?
mikepetro Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 You certainly "could", electrically it wouldnt matter. It is just a space and flexibility issue for most Modders. Just be careful not bridge the "vias" next to B+ with any solder, as they are part of the charger circuitry.
combatwombat Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 My battery has 16 gauge xt30 female, could I use 18 gauge from board to xt30 male to connect to 16 gauge connector? Just making sure...
