Havoc340 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Report Posted July 19, 2015 Ok, Not specific to the dna200, but I am curious if there is some breathing room required for Lipo batteries to expand. My design has .050 clearance and im not sure if thats enough, or if its even an issue.
KTMRider Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Lipo's can swell 5 - 15%. Cheaper quality batteries will swell more than higher quality cells.

So if they only swell to their environment, is it a big deal to constrict them and not give them any room to grow? These are the things that I cant google well. (end up getting tons of Liposuction results lol)
Always_Jonezen Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 I my experience they only swell when they get hot like in rc cars where you draining all it's power in 30mins, in my sealed dna box the Lipo doesn't even get warm. So I'm not worried at all.
